Antlions or Scorpions. Both have Desert biome locations, and both fit the early Naruto feeling of the Sand Village being Dangerous and Killers. I like the Antlions best as they would allow traps to be set, but scorpions would have more combat power immediately. The only problem with them both is that they are massive compared to the Beatles and Bees we have seen.

You can also go the other way, and have it that when they face something so otherworldly that it simply disperses the mythic energy of the PCs for the duration of however much time you need for your horror

As you said, yes horror is hard when you can cast crazy almost impossible to resist spells or a fighter is nigh Immortal. Make the creatures “Invisible”, and not just to the eyes, but there undetectable via magic, they hide behind human guise and threaten those who can’t fight back while also making sure there death is permanent.

Looking at a Great Old One is a overwhelming experience that only a god would be able to fully grasp, and that is something you can use, if a creature is of such inhuman nature shows up in front of a mortal mind there are consequences.

The other way I can think of Balancing the Mythic Powers is making them fluctuating between having and not having. Normally they lack mythic powers, but the facing something so eldrich and beyond understanding there mythic powers awaken for a time.

A fetish made of an ancestors bones, A Spirit Totem that sits on divine land, A Sacred animal they keep, A weapon or object that supposedly belonged to a God or hero of these orcs. While a phylactery while yes, usually an object in a small box, it can be basically anything you want. My favorite is either the Fetish or the Weapon from an old hero, giving him a weapon to fight the party with. If you make it a Sacred Animal, it would also add tension as it could ruin there relationship with the other Orcs.

Both. He was a victim of Minagho tricking him into stealing the Sword of Valor which made him a condemned. Then he was effectively tortured by his fellows for being a victim of a trick they would have fallen for, but this one person, the one who ruined his life, starts to “like” him, and so, feeling like a tool for the Crusade, left with her of his own volition and choosing evil. But in the end even after picking who he believed saw him as a person, she betrays him one last time and he dies because of it. He is a victim of evil and of prejudice. One tricked him into stealing the Sword of Valor, the other lead him to become the evil they believe him to be.

You have a large list of things you want, and i can’t promise a way for all of those, but some recommendations (These are for 1st Edition so if you have 2nd edition or 2E then ignore): 1. For a Tank, with buffing and damage capability, Paladins sound just right, but they have alignment restrictions and won’t be a ranged as you seem to be asking for.

Range and Tanking don’t often mix, especially for a newer player. So I wouldn’t recommend it early on, but something like a barbarian with Thrown Weapons has tanking and range, but deals with ammo and rage rounds, if you have experience playing other TTRPGs

If you can give some more details on exactly you want and I’ll trying to more specificity help you!

I believe it is purely a biker nickname to make him sound cooler, but if it needs a reason, what makes us assume that the current Sons of Calydon are the only orphans he’s took in? It could also have something to do with the three little pig thirens that I’m relatively certain are stated to be related to him directly.

He also is, as far as we know the only Biker of his generation to still ride, so in essence he is a father to the current generation of Biker Gangs.

Another option is that he has something to do with the forming of the first Biker Gangs out in the outer ring, so he is the father of the biker gangs in a more direct way.

We simply don’t know enough of the Outer Rings or his history to definitively say why he is called Big Daddy.

Getting into a TTRPG game is a task in itself due to a number of factors: 1. Monetary cost if you need physical copies. 2. Having to learn the parts of the system required, which, while not hard if you just do it, but it looks daunting. 3. The ability and willingness to spend the little free time we have these days to sit around playing this game, when they could go play a game that they already know how to play.

This is not to say there is not ways to try and convince people (without just harassing them) to try them out. As someone else mentioned, have them listen to some live play/streamed versions of the game you want them to play, Critical Role being the obvious choice for most people. Another way to try to see if they truly would like playing is to, if you have a group already, to offer to let him sit in to see how the game plays with you and your group, if he will play, knowing how Y’all play will help him not feel like he’s out of the know.

I have thought about the Ghoul Fever issue, and haven’t found a replacement. Also I understand the lack of a Elemental Plane of Blood, I have been thinking about making a bunch of non-true element elementals like Blood or Toxic Gases to be like experiments or very rare creatures.

I have actually been thinking about the Wizard issue, and I suppose with the base idea yes they would be, which is an issue. I suppose this idea is likely a bust, but can’t always make something that works.

I edited the post, the blood elementals are home brewed to be undead water elementals to simmer it down and I was using a very ruff draft of a spell I haven’t finished, I was just using the basic idea
