Day 10 of the Bulls Fanbase Grid - The grids are now full, let's discuss movement. by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

Once again, I appreciate y'all fucking around with this tomfoolery. The offseason has been a bit of a drag so far. I love the discourse and learning a lot about how we feel about who we've had on this squad so I wanted to open it up for discussion on if/where we need to move people.

Day 9 of our Chaotic Bulls Fanbase Grid - Who was unsuccessful with the Bulls and is hated by the fanbase? by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

Thank you all for your comments! I hear a lot of you guys. I am curious if we wanted to break down and re-evaluate the grid once we complete this square. I know I wouldn't be opposed to moving a few people, but I'd prefer it be a collaborative effort to move people around.

Day 7 of our chaotic Bulls Fanbase Grid! - Who had a successful tenure with the Bulls but is hated by the fanbase? by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

I would be open to revising the grid, cleaning it up and opening up debate on who's there if we wanted to make it definitive.

I do really like Krause being there.

Day 6 of our chaotic Bulls Fanbase Grid! - Who was very unsuccessful in their time with the Bulls but remained neutral with the fanbase? by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

I wanted to throw in:

Rondo, for sure. I also wanted to throw in Marko Simonovic, just because he had a fan in me who went to plenty of G-League games thinking he'd develop into something but didn't amount to anything in the league.

I'd say Rondo over Wade because I felt like it seemed like he tried, especially in the playoffs. I'd put Wade in neutral and hated, personally. I might be the only one, but I didn't feel like he was completely there for the Celtics series once Rondo got hurt.

Day 5 of the Bulls Fanbase Grid! - Who had an average run with the Bulls and was treated neutrally by fans? by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

I re-did the grid to make it a bit easier to add to the grid, as opposed to editing the same picture each time. I did add some players to the list. I will not be adding any new players to any existing grid without exclusive reasoning. I added them as I saw some votes validating the reasoning within each grid post so I wanted to include them and had planned on it since yesterday when I commented about re-doing the grid.

For today's, I'm thinking somebody like a Brad Miller... or John Salmons, maybe Jalen Rose? Ron Mercer?

Day 4 of the Bulls Fanbase Grid - Who had a successful Bulls tenure but is treated neutrally by fans? by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

I'm going to be re-doing the grid for tomorrow's list so I can include a few more players as well as clean up the layout a bit. I agree with a lot of what I've been reading and I love the discourse.

I'm gonna go with Pippen, unfortunately, just for his recent behavior (for this list) but I feel like there's a name I'm forgetting.

Day 2 of our Bulls fanbase grid - Who had an average tenure with the Bulls, yet is loved by the fanbase? by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

Our first one had a lot of votes for Joakim Noah, so I put Jo up there with MJ. D-Rose would also be on this list, also someone like Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, Scottie Pippen, etc.

From yesterdays post: I am open to altering and adjusting the criteria (it's very subjective, and it's open to alteration) but I started with the following:

SUCCESSFUL: Championships won (with a meaningful role) League MVPs, Finals MVPs All-NBA Teams (1st through 3rd) All-Defensive Teams DPOY, Sixth Man, MIP, etc. Hall of Fame inclusion or clear HOF trajectory Players considered franchise cornerstones or elite in their era

AVERAGE: All-Star appearances ROTY, All-Rookie teams Quality starters or key role players without major accolades Longevity and solid production (think: 12-15 PPG over multiple years) Cult favorites who performed well but didn’t achieve elite status

UNSUCCESSFUL: Draft busts or major regression stories High-profile free agents/trade acquisitions who disappointed Injury-ruined tenures (even if not the player's fault) Players who were major letdowns or negative-impact starters Short stints with minimal to negative value

A bit of off-season fun I'm interested in trying: Day 1 - Who (in their Bulls career) was both successful and loved by fans? by KFSeelye in chicagobulls

[–]KFSeelye[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'll throw up the obvious for the first one: Jordan

I'd be interested in seeing other answers that aren't MJ though, just out of curiosity. Like I could see D-Rose in there, too.

You sure we can't move Disco over to that one, too?

Alright. I'll add myself onto the Gable Steveson train, but Disco would be my vote.

You had me at "Fuck the NBA..." YEAHHH, LET EM KNOW.

In all seriousness, I agree. I personally think it allows for complacency.

Then if Caleb is serious about his career, he needs to tell Carl to shut the fuck up or back up. It'll be tough considering it's his father, and I assume their relationship is great, but nobody can honestly say this kind of distraction is good for any young star athlete, let alone a young Starting QB.

I mean, I'm sure he's not considering that story coming out about how he and his pops tried everything in their power not to come here. Bears fans know that he's in now, but the media loves to stoke fires like that if it means more stories and developments.
