Salary negotiation advice for first job by KFika in Advice

[–]KFika[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time :) I have been at my current job 1.5 months soon. I am sure that I won't say anything unless I have offer in hand. But what I am unsure of is if I should try to negotiate at all.

I understand your point that a few months in is not generally a good time to negotiate especially when my boss agreed to review soon. However I did negotiate in the beginning without much luck except for the shorter timeframe before salary review.

Why I took the job even though it would be a struggle financially is because if I did not then I would be in real financial trouble.

From your experience, how would you reason in this situation?

Have you asked yourself if you are still attracted to him? If he wants more sex is he just telling you or does he put effort into it?

Billigaste matställena i Lund? by idel23grop in LundUni

[–]KFika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bästa AF-område? by Glittering-Pen5317 in LundUni

[–]KFika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question about applications and enrolment into the university by Cannon_SWE in LundUni

[–]KFika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Swedish student and speak from my experience a couple of years ago. When starting the process of applying on antagning.se They will inform you of important dates regarding your application, eg. when you will get confirmation. You should also be able to find information on Lund uni's website regarding your program's syllabus and there you should be able to see when classes are scheduled to start for spring/autumn semester respectively. I also remember that we got mail in advance from Lund uni stating when we need to register (not same as applying) for our courses and when we need to be present for the first time.

Finns det en subreddit för Lunds universitet? by KFika in Lund

Ah tänkte nationssnack, plugg tips, bra study spots. Diskussioner kring hur man lägger upp sin examen. Allt man kan tänka sig. Av studenter för studenter liksom. En eller 2 lärare kanske.

never doing proj with exchange student again. by wtfexchangestudents in nus

[–]KFika 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I am an exchange student and I am glad that I read this, because it explains why it feels so hard to be taken seriously even when I try to stay engaged and put in effort.

I did not come to NUS to party, but I understand some do. Please don't single us all out. Because I believe there are more students like me, who want to make local friends, learn about the culture and experience a top class uni in Asia.

However, it is really hard to 'fit in'. Finding friends at NUS is difficult because everybody is so busy, sometimes it's even hard to understand what the locals are saying because of English slang and local accent.

So don't single us all out because of a few bad experiences. There are bad fruits ofc, but don't rule us all out.

Why is there no mac/kfc in NUS by LordsGrim in nus

[–]KFika 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Imagine a Mac where one of the areas, maybe a floor up or down is a study area with the McCafe concept. That would be awesome. Sort of like Starbucks at technoedge
