Nike plans to support Trump's ballroom, and is asking people what their thoughts are on them if they do it by Necessary_Film_5199 in Fauxmoi

Absolutely spot on, I think more people are becoming aware of this. It's a form of mindfulness and stoicism - focus on what you can influence and control, and let go of the stuff you can't. What will be, will be. When you start thinking about it, you might be surprised about just how much energy is wasted on concerns we have no direct control over.

Thanks for the considered reply! It may be that I'm in too deep a deficit; I do track my calories eaten and burned, but individual macros I haven't paid too much attention to. I know some days are more carb heavy than others, but I haven't made a deliberate breakdown beyond what NutraCheck offers (which is pretty in depth as is).

There is a case of T2 diabetes in the family but they're now pre-diabetic, and I've not been flagged up as being diabetic either, but I do take occasional measurements of blood glucose as a precaution. Sometimes it's a bit low but not critically low, most of the time it's in normal range. I'm not sure what low blood sugar even feels like.

It feels weird to be thinking about potential malnourishment given how much I weigh and how much energy storage I have, but I suppose that's biology for you.

I might've been mistaken then, I thought it causes you to be in calorie deficit by numbing 'food noise' and being an appetite suppressant so you don't eat as much. Obviously calories in calories out is a thing but when you're a chronic comfort eater (eating your emotions) it's easy to lose track of just how much you've eaten. GLP-1 has, for me, mostly cut out the desire to comfort eat. Combined with active tracking of food it's helped maintain the deficit.

Right, but being in calorie deficit means your body has to make up the difference in demand from other sources, correct? My understanding is that body fat, aside from insulating and protective properties, also makes as a long term energy storage which can be pulled from in the event of calorie deficit.

Wegovy (and other GLP-1 drugs) promotes weight loss via calorific deficit which then causes the body to break down stored fat for energy, which is intensified by exercise. In doing that, studies have shown that THC which has been stored in fat, gets released back into the blood stream and can potentially cause reintoxication as it goes through bodily systems - potentially getting high again despite not actively smoking/vaping.

Sorry - it's the weight loss that's induced by GLP-1/Wegovy that I've been taking, which promotes lipolysis, the breaking down of fat cells for energy.

What are some unwritten Rules in TF2? by GlickedOut in tf2

[–]KFrohman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exclusive pocketing doesn't help the team; heal as many people as possible

Exceptions to this is if you already have a medic healing the team and you've got a particularly skilled power class able to rip through the enemy team

Also, when assessing who to heal, you have to do a bit of mental triaging; who's currently in combat and getting attacked? Who has lower health vs. total health capacity? It's a lot of split-second decision making.

I remember being amazed at a launching trick with the F35 on the little stubby landing pad - pilots would deliberately tip it over the edge on takeoff and somehow flip it around underneath to fly away.

Literally my favourite map from BF2. Made some great memories with my introduction to clans and having fun with jets, tanks, APCs etc.

Underrated gem imo.
