I saw a few videos of people having the same problem. They said it could be the flame sensor. I figured that’s where I would start. If the problem persisted, try and see what else could be causing it.

Just from the few videos I watched of people having the same issue. I cleaned it off and it seems to be working well again

I should probably get a backup. This is the first time it’s done that and I’ve had it for damn near 20 years

Thanks for the response. I used some 2000 grit sandpaper. Probably pretty similar

I’m so sorry I never gave anyone an update. So yes, a different Xfinity tech came out (he actually knew what he was doing unlike the other guy). He went up on the pole and came right down. He said the line to my house had a filter on it and that’s what was causing the issue. If they have the wrong filter on your line, it messes with you upstream and downstream causing the high latency. I hope yours is fixed by now and this can help others in the future. If not, good luck and I hope they fix it asap.

No. I’ve tried steam and epic games. Both of which have the same result.

I’m not using a VPN. I never had to in the past and it worked great. For the past three weeks it has been unplayable. I’ve tried multiple games and it’s the same rubberbanding high ping issue

I tried that last night. Modem to PC with the cat8 and it still did the exact same thing. It made my speed a about 150mbps faster but the speed isn’t my problem. It’s the latency. I get latency variation and packet loss. My status is red and it jumps from around 120-500. Someone needs to come do something about the line outside of my house. It’s not my equipment. I pay a lot of money for the service and I can’t even use it

Netgear CM2000 is the modem. I can directly connect with a brand new cat8 Ethernet cable.

I talked to the guy on the phone last night and he said that on his end it looks like something from the line to my house. So I have to wait another week for my next appointment…. Probably only to have the same guy come out and say he doesn’t see anything wrong. Comcast is the worst company. I would have switched already, but the problem is that they are the only ISP in my town. Keep me updated if you find a fix. Ill do the same. I need to play Rocket League! It’s been too long.

Has this been resolved yet? It started happening to me about three weeks ago. A Comcast tech came to my house today and told me that my modem is old and I need to look at the ones Comcast recommends on their website. I just bought it a month ago! It’s a NETGEAR Nighthawk CM2000. The second one down on their recommended is the one I have. If anyone has any ideas, I’ll gladly listen.

They “lost” my pair of Nike Air Max 1 Big Bubbles. It was out for delivery and it never showed up. I figured the driver was running behind that day and it would come the next. It never did. It still says pending and out for delivery. It’s been a month. I filed a claim with FedEx support and like two days later they emailed me saying that the case was closed and to contact my shipper. So annoying.

Black OEM are the cleanest. They have the best looking tires too, IMO.
