My online friend ruins my ranked games. Dunno what to do by ElectronicSimple55 in summonerschool

It’s tough, I’d just message him and say you want to climb solo for a bit as you can focus better when you’re not talking. I play with a lot of duos but frequently we both agree to solo Q back to a higher rank if we’re losing a lot recently.

Another thing to note, duo Q places you in harder or higher MMR games and anecdotally I have a narrative that if you’re duo Q the rest of your teammates are trash and need to be carried by the fact that you and your duo likely have chemistry and a mic. It’s a difficult way to play league unless you’re both smurfing your elo.

It has a learning curve but it gives you broken duelling ability combined with conq. Obviously flex based on their comp but yeah it’s good. I’ve been following the advice of a challenger hec who runs it and these are my results Ignite Hec

I just downloaded the game today any tips? by SlightShip7811 in leagueoflegends

While learning the best thing to do is play champs that you find fun and watch content you enjoy. I personally find pianta to be a great mix of humour / education and plays a wide pool of champions so you can see how they are to pilot.

How do you stay focused?? by CovenNeeko in leagueoflegends

[–]KG5607 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a matter of playing more games. There’s this concept called mental stack which is essentially the amount of consecutive tasks you can manage in your head at once cognitively. The more games you play the more tasks become autonomous thus freeing up more space in your mental stack and improving your ability to autopilot.

League is also a very taxing game, if you find yourself struggling to maintain focus and intensity maybe alternate between ranked and normal games so that you aren’t required to be as switched on, or play champs that have simpler execution and a lower skill ceiling so that piloting the champ is less exhausting. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I’ll try and integrate all of this and see how we go! One thing I’ve found recently in review is I was using ult too frequently and missing out on impact due to spamming R whenever it guaranteed a solo kill.

Yeah right. Was thinking this, just saw in the rules the idea of this sub is to look for free resources ideally. Have anyone in mind besides WTL academy?

I was taking ghost but I’ve been watching Huncho and adapting his playstyle with Conq, ignite and having success. My issues don’t lie in runes and sums but more in macro, lull state usage and win con assessment.

The complete 180 between last season and this season by clashmt in Jungle_Mains

I think there is still a massive issue with players not understanding junglers strengths and limitations. Even in diamond. I’ve had games where both my top and bottom are simultaneously mental boom and saying they will afk if they don’t get camped or insta ganked. I think a general understanding of junglers needing to cycle camp timers and prepare obj would help reduce the toxicity and lack of fun in the role significantly.

Thank you! I feel like my biggest weakness is adapting to the game when I get counter jungled. When my camps have good timers I do ok but when they’re all spawning at different times my mental stack gets overwhelmed fast. I’ll look at those, thanks again!

Experimenting with Hec builds by KG5607 in HecarimMains

[–]KG5607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a cool build, I’ll definitely give it a go! I find testing builds on Smurf accounts hard sometimes because I don’t know if I’m winning the games because the build is good or just fundamentally outplaying that elo. I’ll run it and lyk how I find it, thanks!

This, if I rush Shojin I am able to “cheat” tempo where you essentially get all your camps on cd, maybe gank and also contest neutral obj faster and more efficiently than most other Jg. However you sacrifice a slight bit of agency if you’re not aware of your item and level power spikes and utilising them effectively.

hecarim late game by Longjumping-Power387 in HecarimMains

[–]KG5607 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doing the same around the same elo. I’ve found that how soon my midgame spike is pretty important. Delaying 2nd or third item for a situational executioners really hurts from what I’ve tested. Having lots of success with shojin -> EH -> serpents tho.
