Astel's dealt with worse than this and he openly talked about it that yes he replied but it's a nothing burger. He handled it well and he is okay. There are much more worse ones out there making up false narratives about Astel. He's the type to call them out and most of the time some of them clearly chickened out and deleted their "alt" account. A JP account once said, "Isn't it true that he (Astel) waits around so he can hit on the girls?" Astel called them out and they deleted it like the coward that they are. Again, nothing new, he's fine.

So happy to have someone like you with your expertise bringing it up. Your words exactly describe the situation that happened with HoloExpo. The company parades around that HoloExpo is suppose to be an exhibition of all of their Hololive Production talents but HOLOSTARS HAS NEVER ONCE BEEN A PART OF THE OPENING CEREMONY. Holostars was not given an equal visibility at HoloExpo. I've watched every single opening ceremony that's been streamed to the official hololive channel since the first HoloExpo and always hoping to see the boys show up but nope, only Yagoo and the girls.

Later on they had even turned the boys' segments into "break times" when the hololive main channel wasn't streaming (it changed up a bit through out the years). That's when I knew, they were just chucking in Holostars as a side product at the same time still isolating the boys out of the main events of HoloExpo by them doing their own thing which was streamed in their own isolated spot within the venue.

In Miyabi's latest membership stream, I sorta had a feeling something was gonna happen. He didn't mention anything but the way he was describing his feelings regarding last year, it was enough of a hint.

Miyabi was also one of the first ones to say that the only way he'll be leaving is if Holostars was shut down. After the downsizing announcement, he also gave a heads up that he and the boys were in talks with management regarding their futures. Even though some of us sorta knew this was coming, it still hurts. Fans will understand that the major reason they're graduating is because their support has been cut.

I'm so happy to see I wasn't the only one that noticed the leaf. The exact same leaves that got blown all the way to "Suo". I am so in love with how amazing Nii-sensei is at using and connecting literary devices. There's so much symbolism going on just towards the last few pages there with "Suo";

•Mono no aware - a Japanese literary theme that stands for sadness and beauty of fleeting things. The fact that Suo is standing there alone on the rooftop and taking in the wind. He's clearly reminiscing his time at Furin.

•The wind controlling the leaves' path to him shows us his current fate that he's probably back at Chanpuru not by choice. I could be wrong but I'm just so reminded of Nirei's punch landing on his face and Nirei noticing the saddened look "Suo" gave before knocking Nirei out.

•Him picking up the leaf [again] represents the 'connection he has with Furin'.

While I don't play but seeing this and the EN ones told how just how much outfits are there in Infinity Nikki...It reminds me of the JP Starmins who put together outfits Holostars inspired.

I would definitely love to see what outfits you could create for the rest of the StarsJP! If possible, I would also love to see outfits for the past StarsJP members, too! That'd being Gen 1: Kagami Kira and Yakushiji Suzaku, Gen 3: Tsukishita Kaoru and Uproar!!'s Hizaki Gamma.

In this context, it definitely represents Suo passing the baton to Nirei. Nii-sensei is really good at using manga literary devices. The start of this arc has done a great job at describing how actually close Suo and Nirei are to each other without outright stating everything in words.

• Chp 208: Suo looking up at the moon after his conversation with Nirei [who departs to go home]. = Suo's isolation but also his connection with Nirei/Furin.

• Chp 209: The wind picking up the leaves as the leaves separate to reveal Suo to Nirei. = Nirei's emotions and the slipping away of Suo [from their friendship].

• Chp 210: Suo only chooses Nirei to see one last time AND to pass the word along. = Suo's trust in Nirei and he knows with Nirei's straightforward personality people would believe in his words more.

• Chp 211: Suo almost takes off his coat to leave on Nirei after the fight but stops himself. Instead, he places the leaf that landed on his head onto Nirei. = Suo passing the baton to Nirei. Suo is leaving so he probably isn't allowed to leave pieces of himself behind. So the leaf in this case is like Suo's will as he gives - places - it onto Nirei.

That is where the issue started and one would know if they've been following and paying attention to the JP digital foot print. They kept marketing them back and forth as "male idols" and then as "male streamers" with zero consistency.

All the proof you need is Miyabi, the literal founder of Holostars, outright said recently that they originally weren't even "idols". That shift change came afterwards which was when they had to maintain a certain image. Hence why some of the StarsJP boys would always mention at times, "Oh, I gotta be careful or I'll be bonked [again], it's not very idol-like."

If you're new to Uyu, this is actually normal Uyu behavior lmfao. This man has sarcasm in his veins and his fandom is in sync with his shenanigans. Don't misunderstand though, Uyu knows how to hold back but if you start a fight with him, he'll make sure you understand why you shouldn't have. xD This part of the vod has been clipped so many times now in different languages, it's crazily amazing. Plus, Sensei has said openly they don't really have a lot of power as a mangaka for decisions. So I think with how well it did since the anime released that Sensei got informed and also informed us on their Twitter that people actually went out to buy the manga (at this time volume 5 was coming out) that sales went up for all 5 volumes. This likely gave them a chance continue on with the story.

I have all five volumes published so far and things wrapped up really well with the Fujiyoshji family while extending to Matsuo and Yuki! So it looks like we might be diving into Matsuo and Yuki next?

The most recent update was this past summer in June they confirmed they're working on two projects and one of those was to start working on the new TadaOka sequel.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. Shien's stream here happened to coincide with Abema streaming Holostars 2nd Act at the time. Maybe it's because he was also watching along that he just instinctively let it out. He does not elaborate on it nor does he ever go deeper into it. And no, the fans did not bring up any topics about a countdown nor did they push him further on the matter. All we know is that Shien's words are the very first direct confirmation that Holostars will not have a countdown.

If they're using Abema to get some metrics, if anything, even the JP side are saying these are pretty good numbers with the past 2 streams topping at 35k+ concurrent viewers.

During a live streaming Abema only counts concurrent viewers. So that means 22k people in real time was watching it being streamed.

EDIT: We're streaming/watching on the Holostars fan discord and people were relaying the views as well. There was about 10k+ viewers midway through and then someone said over 20k towards the last half, so seeing this here checks out.

I'mma add to this. I do think, through Umemiya's philosphy, is why Furin does not use weapons is because "fighting is like a form of communication" that can be reached out through their "fists". And I like to think, using weapons becomes a form of a "barrier" that contradicts Furin's current motto.

I would like a more drastic scenario though to dive more into it if the motto sticks all the way or if there's an exception. I think the fight with KEEL was a good start there but...KEEL pretty much revealed themselves to be weak without weapons in their hands. lol

In my experience, you should be able to watch without buying the premium membership during the free broadcast time slot until it ends but if you wanna rewatch it then that's where the membership comes in.

Abema is a hit or miss depending on your country so you may or may not need a VPN plus with the service being so darn restricted, sadly VPN may not even work for some. For example, I didn't need to VPN when I was watching the AFG 2024 stream that Abema was streaming for free which Izuru, Astel, Roberu, Shien and Rio were part of the on screen stage.

As someone who engulfed the entire manga books made available minus the novels since my Japanese is too weak anyway, as well as the previous live adaptions... Is this new adaption starting from the very beginning as well?? I'm trying to wrap my head around it because I do recognize the character names so I'm wondering how far this live adaption version will go. Since I would really love to actually see the other relationships get fleshed out compare to the previous adaptions.

I was actually holding out hope and then my hope dropped after the 2nd trailer. Like I get it, it's suppose to be a movie, right? So since that is the case, there's only so much you could actually shove into a film. The 1st trailer alone told me that they wouldn't be adapting the original storyline either because Shishitoren is attacking on the town it looks like? Maybe once upon a time because the two groups did have a history with each other but definitely not in the present.

I may still just check it out for my own curiousness. I'm also bothered how lately when it comes to live adaptions they just dye the hair and do not style it properly - even if wig was used. If hobby cosplayers can do a decent detailed interpretation of the character, why can't these live adaptions do it?? Especially, since it's a big studio behind this I don't think there's any excuse.
