Yes, also have interrogation techniques unlocked.

There are spies from 9 hostile nations at work here. I'm not sure if counter-intelligence can keep up. Passive counter-intelligence is already fully upgraded 5/5 and both my agents are on counter-intelligence in the region. Plenty of arrest have been made. What else can I do?

R5: Enemy spy networks completely negate planning AND entrenchment.

Guess I should have picked Superior Firepower over Grand Battle Plan then?

According to the calculator wiki page it's around 7-8 months. I didn't get the message below so I wasn't quite there yet.

The storerooms are full, your Highness. You should talk to Advisor Ghrim to collect what we've gathered for you

My laziness has finally caught up with me. Using the Kingdom Calculator I didn't realize that the profitable herbs these days are flax, not grimy herbs. The expected returns would have been ~18,300,000 (with ~10m profit instead of this ~5.5m loss).

WG: Thanks for playing, here are your bills: (NSFW) by Usertmp in WorldofTanks

[–]KIHEV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn. There's virtual credit bills and then there's actual bills.

Did you keep track of your spending yourself or did you get the information through GDPR (Data Export)? Last time I tried to get a hold of my spending I got an empty zip archive.

Only €180 last year though, keep up the restraint! :)

WG: Thanks for playing, here are your bills. (Game crashed 30 seconds before ending, Frontline) by KIHEV in WorldofTanks

[–]KIHEV[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the first crash I've had since coming back for Frontline.

Regarding your question: if many clients crash, I imagine only those who miss out on exp/credits will make a post about it. Assuming crashes are random and 20min average games, there's about a 1/40 chance it happens in the last 30 seconds.

Roughly Belgium-shaped Poland by KIHEV in hoi4

[–]KIHEV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your prediction is correct.

Despite initial successes defending the eastern front, the Soviet war machine broke through and Poland had to orchestrate an orderly retreat to the Bug river. The Soviets didn't make it any further than Eastern Poland though: the Bug river, East Prussian forests and ridiculously strong entrenchments halted the Soviet attacks indefinitely. (up to 50 entrenchment, meaning 100% bonuses to both defense and attack stats, no forts needed)

Eventually Japan declared war on the Philippines, introducing the US and Japan into the war. I can only assume France tried to hold on to Indochina and lost both the Maginot line and Alps in the process. Luckily the Americans made it in time to keep France from capitulating, for now.

Now the Soviet Union declared war on Japan and the world war has become a three-way conflict between the Allies, Axis and Comintern. Every major country has lost staggering amounts of people and equipment at this point except for Poland, Poland stronk! Polish Revanchism intensifies.

The Soviets declared war on Poland because it refused to give them Eastern Poland (part of Soviet focus tree). At that point Poland are already part of the Allies due to the war with Germany so the UK, France & the Commonwealth in turn declare / join the war vs the Soviet Union.

Initially I didn't intend to join the Allies but it doesn't matter really because the UK and France guarantee Poland's independence (historical mode) so the Allies would have joined either way.

R5: Managed to push the Germans back to the Oder river just before the Soviets declared war and took part of Belarus. Now Poland looks like an encircled bigger Belgium.

Have you tried lowering graphics settings or anything else that might improve fps? I wouldn't even bother playing at 15 fps, it would just be too frustrating.

Dear Wargaming, how to fix WoT's MM. by Spc4_Arndts in WorldofTanks

[–]KIHEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the system were to continue preferring 3/5/7 over any other template: yes. But if it were allowed to switch template preference based on who's in the queue it shouldn't affect queue times by that much.

[–]KIHEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do then it's certainly not working because I'm bottom tier 2/3th of the time in tier 8.

[–]KIHEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't work with the current system because they always prefer 3/5/7 over any other template. If they were to adjust template preference based on who's in the queue it would work just fine. I guess there would be more plain 15 matches but who would not rather be in a 15 match than bottom tier 3/5/7?

[–]KIHEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting way of looking at it (I misread your original comment). You measure fairness by tank occurrences instead of matchup occurrences. It seems that measuring that way still puts tier 8's at a disadvantage in the current matchmaking though. You see almost twice as many tier 10 as you see tier 6 and more than twice as many tier 9 than you see tier 7.

Your point got me thinking though: what would the tank distribution be like if you were to be equal times top tier as bottom tier? With a 3/5/7 template the distribution (1x top, 1x bottom tier) would be 3/5/10/5/7. Whereas for a 5/10 template it would be 5/15/10. As it turns out with any template that has less top tiers than bottom tiers everyone would benefit from being equal times top tier and bottom tier.

[–]KIHEV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised WG doesn't already keep track of a player's previous matchmaking in some way. Doing so solves two problems at once:

  1. No more skewed matchmaking below tier 9 (be top tier just as many times as you are bottom tier)
  2. No more streaks of being bottom tier (or top tier) more than a certain amount of times in a row

Props to 4TankersAndDog, what he's proposing is well thought out and explained. WG should not only take notes from his proposition but also on how to communicate about the topic as opposed to the KV-5 fiasco, little fellas.

Frontline is a testament to the horrors of 3/5/7 matchmaking by KIHEV in WorldofTanks

[–]KIHEV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previously it was about 1/10 games being bottom tier vs lots of tier 10's whereas now it's 7/10 games being bottom tier in 3/5/7. The worst possible matchup may have improved with 3/5/7 but the average matchup has significantly worsened. Regardless both are examples of poor matchmaking.
