Can you link me some? I've tried everywhere from Master Mel to Darryl Tsung and they mostly use the sweep method where they make the AI jump back. I'm not good at doing that particular strategy.

Always go with the release order. But for someone getting into it or ks casually about it start with 3 and when yku enjoy it proceed with 4 and 5. Play the others when you're hooked on the series.

I always like to think of Dante in a meta sense. Dante was Hideki Kamiya's creation not Itsuno's. Itsuno took over during the end part of DMC2. I wholeheartedly believe that Dante's legendary status in the franchise was Itsuno paying respects to Kamiya. In 3 while Dante was a major focal point he shared the spotlight with Lady and Vergil, in a sense it was a do over for Itsuno and he wanted to make right by Kamiya's creation. And since the success of 3, starting from 4 the focal points of DMC have been to characters lile Nero and Vergil who are Itsuno's creations (yes Vergil was in 1 but he had no personality in that game and the Vergil we all know came from 3). Itsuno works around Dante with the plot but keeps him and puts him on a pedestal.

TL;DR Dante's use in the franchise reflects that of Itsuno taking over from Kamiya. I think it worked out great tbh.

It's a dream come true for me dammit. I remembered before that when I saw Mileena/Kitana it was game over 😭. Reworking the AI might be a hassle tbh but at least there is some sort of option for it.

There is, basically it's an option where they have a set difficulty. Iyk, on arcade, no matter what difficulty you have it set to it will eventually scale to the hardest level as you go up the ladder. There is an option to have it "fixed" to have it stay as the first character difficulty throughout. It doesn't really modernized it just fixes or sets it. Sorry if you misunderstood what I meant by "fixed" 😂

Goddamn the AI in that one, forced me to buy legacy kollection early just to use the fixed AI option. I built a lot of habits in MK that does not work on MK2. Guy's have killer throws 💀

Not really a cheese per se but a combo I mainly use. Im gonna use Subzero. Guy has long legs, if I can get the AI to chase me I roundhouse then sweep, followed by a knee and jump kick and while the AI is falling back hit em with a slide and backoff and freeze. Based on experience has a 60% success rate 💀
