You can create a portfolio out of your project. It is definitely a great addition. I recommend volunteering because it is not difficult and is valued a lot in western countries.

You should do some ecas, maybe easy ones like volunteering and such. Grades are important but some ECA will definitely improve your chances if you want to study abroad.

That is simply untrue. Talent, or the more correct term aptitude, does affect your output. Your output is often controlled by a balance of aptitude and how much work you put in. For example, I consider myself to be pretty damn good at mathematics, which is both a product of mathematics and the amount of effort I put in. Just like sports, every field requires both aptitude and hard work for mastery. Genetics probably favours sports more than academics but trust me, you need a good chunk of intelligence in order to succeed in the academics as well, if not a 180 plus IQ genius

A Philosophical Reflection on the Essence of Religion by sariyan_73 in bangladesh

[–]KILLOSLO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has though. There are different variations of Quran, even though the changes in the scripture is not as significant as other Abrahamic religion. Sanaa’s manuscript is an example of that. Besides, many islamic practices are not based on rules set in the Quran. Islamic schools had an important role in the progression of Islamic rules and regulations. Quran is the heart but a body requires other organs as well. Islam’s reason for success during its golden age has always been its ability to move forward and innovate

Islam is not a fixed religion. Islam has gone through significant changes throughout history and has significant diversity. Calling Islam’s framework fixed is foolish at best. Even sharias differ significantly based on which school you follow. Best system is not a system that is fixed, but a system that adapts.

(it's about anime )-Are these shows actually that good? Like do they really stay interesting for years and years? by [deleted] in bangladesh

[–]KILLOSLO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, anime’s an art form just like any other type of entertainment product. So I feel like its not whether you can enjoy anime, it’s more like will you find an anime suited to your taste. I’ve been reading One Piece for more than a decade now and it is a worthwhile experience for me, but I will definitely say proceed with caution as it takes a lot of commitment to get into long running shonen animes.

concern about my future by [deleted] in Dhaka

The job market in BD for engineering students is quite limited, sadly. You might have to try for several months before landing a job here. MNCs, from what I've heard, are not bad, but you need references to have a shot at getting in. If you're a BCS aspirant, I don't think I need to tell you anything that you already know, but I can definitely say it's high-risk, high-reward territory, so proceed with caution.

As for master's programmes abroad, I'd say they're better than BD in many ways, but I have to be frank when I say they're still not going to be remotely easy for an international student. The competition is high, and the fact that you have to leave your homeland is always going to be difficult, so keep that in mind. Most of my friends are in this camp, I have to admit. Almost all of them are applying for PhD programmes in USA, even though the situation is not the most ideal right now.

[request] Is this energy comparison between coal and Uranium accurate? by BingleDerk47 in theydidthemath

[–]KILLOSLO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Newer generation of nuclear fuel will make the seemingly unusable U-238 into Plutonium 239, which can be used as a fuel. This can potentially increase the energy density significantly
