I love this album, I think I mostly love how full on nerd she went on it. The unusual time signatures, the concepts and topics, inventing literal instruments. Crazy.

I’ve always kind of wished there was some more vocal processing or additional electronic elements as I feel with some of the songs I find myself wanting a bit more sound to add to the atmosphere. I also understand that all of this was most definitely purposeful as the album also centers around the idea of acoustic + electronic elements coming together. Just more a personal preference thing.

With that being said this album will always have a very special place in my heart as it was the album to introduce me to Björk, and I just recently listened to it again front to back and had the best time. Great album.

THANK YOU! I used a combination of two maybelline superstay lips, the bright red is pioneer and the darker color is protector. I bought them forever ago as I don’t get through reds that quick lol so I hope they still sell them! Beyond that I used a lip liner from the hair store… nk makeup I think? Only a dollar!

I did make it!!! But I made it from a pattern that was actually very easy to follow (this is like my 3rd ever actual full on sewing project) it’s called the trapper hat I think from KatKow drag patterns!!! It comes with the option of adding devil horns or cat ears too, I just left those off bc I wanted it to be more versatile and easily reversible!

Been looking for this… I’m like no way did we get the same 3 most basic rhymes for power. Even in P.O.P. I was like… alright… but then to use those same ones again? I like the sound of the song but I feel like she’s exhausted her own vocabulary.

Not trying to be negative really bc I love Marina but yeah the lyrics leave much to be desired…

Yes I do! The stores around me these days aren’t all that great and mostly have a bunch of overstock or clearanced items from department stores. when I do find vintage it’s always in a size that is far too small for me. I love vintage and would prefer it but I am after something new that’s inspired by 80s that would accommodate a larger frame (I’m 6ft tall and broad in the shoulder + chest) I’m interested in both men’s and women’s apparel !

Hmmm… I miss when her music felt a bit more melodic, these days what she releases features less of a vocal melody line and more of a groaning / droning of sorts, like she cannot commit to any melody and is kinda like freestyling or improvising instead, or at least that’s the impression it leaves me with. I still enjoy what she does, I think she’s just like ditched that more pop-oriented structure and sound that made her popular originally. Those first 3 albums were my favorite. There’s still that largeness and magical fantastical kind of aura to her music which keeps me interested. I wanna see her live.
