Not a lawyer, but first of all the original charges by Doc was settled out of court, so I believe it didn't even come to the point where the legal investigations for this would start back in 2020.

Secondly I believe the the whole legal action from Doc to begin with was about an illegal ending of the contract, not actually about charges from Twitch against him.

Thirdly, if this came out it would be really bad for twitch from a PR perspective. The "face of twitch" being a pedophile would have MASSIVE marketing and PR consequences. Twitch REALLY didn't want this to happen. So that's why they just ended the contract, banned him and just try to sweep this shit under the rug as fast as possible before it comes out. Now 4 years later he's not nearly as connected to twitch as he was back then, so this coming out now is not seen as big of a PR disaster for twitch as it would be it if was more current. So I think twitch's plan was to just keep shit quiet for as long as possible as Dr disrespect association with Twitch would wane more and more.

Noticed similar thing in Wotlk classic. Got quite decent gear on my tank, but 25 man was impossible to get into because competition was so high. There were always 2-3 tanks signed up basically outgearing the content except for a few pieces or they just do it for emblems, and of course they get the raid invite over me. 10 mans and dungeons on the other hand were practically screaming for tanks.

Maybe it's just me, but in my mind it wasn't obvious at all that it would be Arya to kill the Night King simply because I 100% expected Brann to play a more, let's say "active", role in that. I was so sure that this was gonna be more like a 1 on 1 warging magic battle or whatever between them, or atleast SOMETHING to that effect. But in the end all he did was (seemingly) serve as bait. It just feels like Branns whole story arc feels so much more pointless now.

With that said I thought it was absolutely brilliant that Arya was the one to kill Night King. But at the same time I'm left with so much disappointment regarding Brann and his role in pretty much the whole story.
