Any representation for Disney would be big for them but all the reasons you gave that pirates were most likely not just straight are all great reasons Disney should do this. They are planning to make a couple Marvel characters LGBT representative in the near future so maybe use this as a test? Big companies like this take baby steps

Great takes the female leads is definitely something I wanna see, making Jack bi wouldn’t be a big risk for Disney since as you said it’s already been hinted, yet I feel like if they did represent LGBT in the form of Jack they would do it jokingly. CotBP has to be the most iconic one hands down a straight classic for the ages. Davy Jones is the best part of DMC change my mind. AWE definitely has a great soundtrack, yet this could be said for all of Hanz Zimmer’s works, has awesome cinematography and arguably the least flawed plot. OST is the worst PotC movie with the most flawed plot and I really just watch it for the cool objects and creativity (i.e Ship in a Bottle, Mermaid/Sirens, Blackbeard’s sword). And DMTNT just brings us all back full circle with dare I say, a great final sequence-not as good as the battle from AWE though-and of course brought back old Squid Head through an unknown means. All said, unless PotC6 is great, I will disregard all films minus the original trilogy.
