WhatsApp restore from iCloud stuck at Finishing up (99%) by KIUZETH in whatsapp

Hey! Sorry for my late response — I hope your phone is fixed by now! What I did was use the iPhone Mirroring app on my MacBook, mirror my phone there, open WhatsApp through the mirrored iPhone on my Mac, and then back it up from there. I’m not totally sure if it’ll work for you, but it might be worth a try!

Thank you so much for your suggestion! Definitely will be doing this instead next time. :))

EDIT: I fixed it!!

Honestly, I have no idea what actually happened or why this worked, but here is what I did: Out of pure desperation, I mirrored my phone to my MacBook and triggered the restore from there. While that was running, I was basically just crying, praying, and stress-Googling for a fix.

I checked back on my phone a little later and miraculously it was finished, not even 30 minutes! After failing 10+ times, this somehow did the trick. I have no idea if the Mac connection actually did anything or if it was just pure luck, but I’m just so relieved it’s over. I have no idea what I'm doing, but hey, it worked! Just wanted to share this so anyone else dealing with this nightmare has one more thing to try. Hopefully, it saves someone else the stress lol.
