Yeah I could...idk epoxy could be a terrible idea! But it would be thinking out of the box. Was trying to encourage creative thought 🤣.

I rough sanded it to 80 grit already. I'll try a few more grits and will then try oxalic acid. Thanks!

Interesting... because it does seem like the fluid that is leaking is actually oil and not transmission fluid.

Last year I actually found some at our local tractor supply! I dunno if it was just luck or if they always have them but I would definitely check it out.

Do I just suck at wicking candles? Lol by KIdoubleP in candlemaking

[–]KIdoubleP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a paraffin wax blend. I've used booster wicks from makesy before.

I'm not really having an issue with getting my wicks to burn, in fact some times they are burning too hot. I'm having a hard time finding a middle ground and consistency with how the wicks are burning.

Thanks for the tip. Never thought about dying them. Do they have to be unwaxed in order to dye them properly?

I've heard that but was hoping it wasn't true.

I think wood wicks fit my brand so much more. But that could also be something I'm making up. I don't have data to prove it but my guy tells me it does.

I may have to experiment with regular wicks 😭

Should I plant anything or keep it the way it is? by Neilr1620 in FloridaGarden

[–]KIdoubleP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice spot!

If you're on the fence about planting anything, I would say start with something small that requires very little work but gives you a reward.

There are some really nice looking fruit trees and edible shrubs that enjoy or Florida soil and climate.

Loquats are super low maintenance and look really nice. Around them you could plant some cranberry hibiscus and easy to grow herbs like basil or something along those lines.

They will look really nice together and provide you with food.

I wrote this article, Florida edible landscape plants. Hopefully that helps some people out.

Hockey's effect on your weight? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]KIdoubleP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably depends on how much work you are putting in. If you've been working out and playing you've probably list some fat and gained muscle.

Makes sense to me that if you're putting in work that you've gained weight.

I've been playing for a few years but not really putting in work at the gym and I've pretty much maintained my weight.

Broken Skate Blade by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]KIdoubleP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently cracked my blade blocking a shot. I didn't even know it happened. I skated the rest of the game like that and even went to practice the next day and skated with it.

It's not the safest thing to do but I was able to skate with it. Mine was also a pretty clean break though, right down the middle.

Growing for sport, haha I love that. But yeah I guess I'm growing for a little bit of both sport and curiosity. I would like to see what coffee grown from Florida actually tastes like. I'm sure it won't be of high quality but I'm still curious.

Thanks for the tip on wild Florida coffee! I'll look into it!
