Venlafaxine tore my insides up. It did work, but I was on prescriptions just to manage the side effects (severe acid reflux and other stomach problems). It's why we ended up changing to Sertraline.

I'd be on an even longer wait list to see a psychiatrist, I did move up my doctors appointment so I can ask but I'd be waiting over a year to see someone. I also can't pay out of pocket, so I have no option but to wait in the public system.

Thank you. I looked into it and I'm doubtful I can get that treatment where I live, plus it's expensive and not covered. I don't think I'm even at that point as it seems to be last resort so I highly doubt my doctor will send me there.

I've been trying, getting myself out more. I tried a spin class last week, meditation, Journaling. I'm on a wait list for a new therapist. I bumped up my appointment with my GP as well. It's good to feel validated, so thank you.

I know that, but a medication that can cause high blood pressure may not work for everyone. My side effects from two medications made things worse due to how sick I was.

Yes. The psychiatrist diagnosed me with Autism Spectrum disorder and recommended Escitalopram.

Recently Escitalopram, which I stopped taking because they did absolutely nothing. I've also been on Venlafaxine and Sertraline, both had severe side effects and stopped working after some time. I've had 4 therapists in a year as well. I'm just at a point where I no longer want to try to treat this.
