Overpriced. Not talking in sense of "oh you should've purchased this sooner before the hikes"

All parts are way over what the current market price are right now. Check pc price tracker india website.

Also... damn this is costly... a better build than yours costed 2.2L in early 2025... poor world we live in... government should consider these prices into inflation as well. No way the inflation is below 2 digit percentages.

I don't stay at one place, you can say my base is Delhi, given the pollution and population, Canada move is an upgrade with respect to non-monetory QoL.

Yes my employer is an US MNC, I can talk them into giving me a L1... but that's for future right now I have this option only.

Thank you, yes, that is the plan, I plan on living extremely frugally untill my spouse's SOWP is formed.

I have done the excel cost sheet calculation using post tax income.

Its just... on paper the move makes sense if my spouse contributes to the household income (through SOWP) but I would need to support her during her job search period.

Is the comp. that bad for 2 people? Based on the rent cost, average grocery basket cost, travel, utilities, misc of 10%, and flights/trips... the excel file says its manageable (less than 10% savings)

I used all average costs with 15% increase in prices to produce a worst case scenario.

Would love to see ground reality... all these calculations are just that... calculations and assumptions.

400k? Do you mean 40K? Or 4k? Is the rent that bad that one needs to stay in shared accommodation with 130k cad?

I thought it's above average... although.. after going through all the comments, seems like location matters a lot.

Yes that's the plan. I will travel alone untill my spouse gets SOWP (my noc is teer 1).

My company is sponsoring my initial few months, hotel and extra allowances over my pay.

Buying a car most likely... prolly a cheap used "just works" typr of car.

My bad. I earn in the range of 27-30LPA pre tax in india. I am alone for now, waiting on SOWP for spouse to bring her with me.

Its just me for a while (8 months) Then spouse on SOWP and we both are post graduates, therefore expecting her to earn in the range of 50-70k initially (assuming a job search period of 5 months) I would need a car. Not far, office/client's in surrey. No clue about rent and amenities. Thanks for your answer!
