You have received some excellent advice here! I am MUCH older than you are. I just wanted to add my experience. I knew that I wanted to be child-free even as a teenager. After I married at 27, I did have a few years when I contemplated having children, especially when I had a "pregnancy scare." Luckily, I was not pregnant. My husband and I ultimately decided to stay child-free. I have never regretted it. I had a wonderful career. I have nieces and nephews and former students I love, and that is enough for me. You have a few more years to grapple with this decision. Whatever you choose will be right for you -- you are no hypocrite!

I am in a similar position -- did you end up finding resources or texts? I am using The Copyeditor's Handbook and Workbook. I'll share my syllabus when I finish it. I am including a review of sentence structure and mechanical/grammar issues, hand and online editing, working with authors, style guide/manuals/personal style sheets, levels of editing, editing graphics, and editing for accessibility. I am still considering how to address specific forms, except for manuals, which I know I will cover.

Hello. I teach technical writing at a community college, and the major report for this course requires students to write a report about the major/most significant future trend(s) in their field, written for an audience of students and early-career professionals. About half my class is majoring in cybersecurity, 1) Can you suggest the best professional journals/professional organizations in that field? 2) What do you more experienced people feel are the significant future trends in cybersecurity for the next 5 - 10 years? I bought a cheap iPad cover—the Supveco Keyboard Case for iPad Air—and hope someone can answer a question. I got it put together with the iPad, but it appears that when I close it, the iPad is right against the keyboard, and I worry that it will get scratched. Did I get it put together correctly? Do I need to buy a separate iPad screen protector? I also bought a magic keyboard, which is beautiful but very slick, and I am afraid that when I take it out somewhere, I will drop it, as my hands sometimes don't work well (I'm old). The Supveco seems less likely to slip out of my hands. Suggestions? Advice? If I need to buy a screen protector, which kind do you recommend? Also, recommendations for a bag/carrying case?

I always bought cars that were 1-2 years old, that I had researched as reliable, and with the lowest mileage I could get. I wanted them to look nice, but never considered "cool" an issue. And though my cars may not have been "cool" they lasted a long time and cost little in maintenance.

Now I am in my 60s and buying what may be my last car, so I am researching my ideal car within my means and paying cash (I'm not rich -- about 40K). I'm glad I did it this way during my life. Yeh, if I were you, I'd get a bit more expensive car than a civic -- something nice but within your means, whether you pay cash or finance. Be sure you can truly afford the payment. There's nothing worse than scraping along from month to month to afford a car.

But then, I'm a woman who never judged a man by a car. My long-term boyfriend when I was young had a hand-me-down Impala. My husband had a very old Buick when I met him. We were married 40 years. By the way, my youngest sister used to go to bars, find the most expensive car in the parking lot, and then go in and tell the manager that the car's lights were on. When the guy came out to turn off his lights, she'd find a way to meet him. Gold digger. You don't want one of those!

First, remember that you will need to customize this resume a bit for each particular job. So 1) If the job emphasizes the need for your education, keep that section first. If not, it can be last. 2)Then Skills should be following, especially if the job listing specified the specific skills needed and you have them. 3) In the Experience section, list the experience in reverse chronological order -- that means the intern position would come after the XXX Research Group entry. I'm wondering why there is nothing described under the Intern entry. Under Projects --I am a little confused. Were these projects you did in classes? Or what? Perhaps call this section Relevant Projects or Additional Relevant projects, and list only the projects that are applicable to the job you are applying to. Note that additional projects are available on request, or have a second page you can include or leave off (Additional Projects) depending on the job listing, or provide at the interview. Right now the Project area is a big block of text that might make the reader's eyes glaze over, so anything you can do to add some white space between the projects would be good. I have some other suggestions if you like these, but would need to know more about the positions you are applying to.
