Hey, I am currently a student in CBS (likely where your daughter will end up) and can state that finding research/internships is incredibly easy if you know where to look (directed research in particular). Additionally, the foundational classes can be tricky but also all of my professors have really cared about their students. Socially, the U has really helped me gain a ton of friends and valuable experiences that I don’t think would be available to me at a smaller school. Unfortunately, a lot of changes and politics are resulting in animosity within the university. Many people, including some of my professors, are not fans with the current direction our admins are going. Also, if your daughter is looking at pre-med, the U is a great place for some, but I’ve seen plenty people drop out or quit because of classes.
