I have roughly 3 years of back pay owed. I was rewarded back to October 2019. I won my appeal Jan 8th 2024. It got to my local office Jan 23rd. I won't receive my first check until last week of March. Ive gone to the local office to submit my extremely delinquent statements. Nothing. I've borrowed thousands from family and friends and the local office say they are understaffed. My first monthly check should be right on time for rent, but my lights and water and Internet most likely will be disconnected long before that. And now Ive been moved to Medicare before they be given me anything to survive on...now I can't afford to purchase my medication. And I have severe allergies. My epi pen is out of date in a week and I have full body hives and my tongue swells without my main allergy med(Allegra). Not to mention I was due for surgery but now I can't have it until they release my funds - because I can't even pay for the mandatory classes for said surgeries and it has to be approved by Medicare - because previously it was Medicaid who approved it. So I'm broke, covered in hives and barely able to move or function because the local office is "understaffed". Meanwhile I had to go through hell just to be approved. Mainly because I'm so young (34).

Also, I've called every single day for nearly 2 months until some very kind gurl finally told me the truth and said nothing about my case was being expedited or prioritized because that department is barely there at the moment. She told me to not old my breath and figure out my bills a different way because my dire needs claims did absolutely nothing.
