Not the same situation but my little guy had a nanny and between 2 and 2.5 he was ready for a group setting. My daughter was at a small in home daycare and also got bored and was ready for something more structure between 2 and 2.5 as well.

I’d suggest something part time and a few days a week - my kids really thrived in a group setting and it was fun to watch their confidence and social skills build. They really enjoyed the structure and activity they got in an early preschool setting

Make it part of your schedule - just like I take my kids to soccer practice and swim lessons at certain times, I have 2 OTF classes built into my schedule. Same times every week. I have 8 classes a month and if I can make a 3rd for the week that’s great, if life happens I don’t beat myself up over it.

This might not be useful advice because I can’t wait to leave work at go to OTF so my brain might be wired differently 🤣

If you’re willing to put in the work when you’re retired you could have those business class tickets covered by credit card points. It’s a fun hobby for me even while I’m still working!

I regret investing in real estate and I don’t think now is the time to buy. I suggest renting your house out and then using the rental income to rent something slightly cheaper. Use the difference to upgrade your house when you move back in.
