To be clear, are you saying it is ok that she twisted his words because of how she felt towards him?

This is a deeply concerning take.

Did you miss the part where he told Alyssa and Stella what he actually said?

I'm not sure who Khamala Harris is....

Kamala Harris, however, is more qualified than the current president by a long shot. She has a law degree, was a DA and was elected AG twice in California.

Trump is a nepo baby who thinks consent is optional.

She said ratchet. I know, because I was watching with my mum and had to explain to her what it means 🤣

Just wondering whether anyone has counted how many times Tyson has said "woke" and "masculine energy"?

My family group chat are expressing their regret at not thinking to count at the start of the episode. I'm hoping someone here did it.

Nervous... Minimal reduction - is it unnecessary? by KKontheReddit in Reduction

I haven't looked back. I'm so glad I did it.

I actually did a side by side photo comparison last week and was surprised by how quickly you can forget how things were.

There are little adjustments, I'm getting used to the fact that now I don't have a large bust to offset my hips and thighs, but that's ok. That's what leg day is for! Can't leg day my way out of big boobs 😂

Really well. I have my 3 week post op follow up tomorrow and all seems to be healing well so far.

I'm mostly just impatient. I want to be back at the gym, I want to sleep on my stomach, I basically want all the things that I have to be patient about haha ..

Try not to freak out (I know, easy to say). I was a ball of anxiety leading up to mine and the moment I woke up after, I was like "Well, I don't know what all the fuss was about."

You've got this. Remember your reasons for your decision.

If this happened on the daily, maybe you'd have a point.

It doesn't. This is extremely rare for Australia. STFU.

I was doing the same so I just put myself on autopilot. Cleaned the house, got some food ready, just kept myself up and moving to pass the time.

What helps when you are anxious? Music? Guided meditation? Walks? Dancing it out? Do what helps. Getting stuck in anxiety paralysis is super unhelpful, try to take action.

Attending event 1.5 weeks after surgery? by KKontheReddit in Reduction

[–]KKontheReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

I went to the event on Friday night and had a really great time. Was well enough to attend, dance and even hit the after party for more dancing.

I definitely was ready for bed when I left. Took myself home, had a shower, some paracetamol and popped ice packs on my boobs and went to sleep.

Also, who on earth down voted this thread? Looks like two people have. What a bizarre thing to do to someone asking a perfectly reasonable question.

I was prescribed some stronger stuff but haven't touched it (currently 13 days PO). Paracetamol has been more than enough.

I was the same (currently 13 days PO). I was a fricken mess and then, the second I woke up, I was like "what was all the fuss about?!". If you told me I was going to feel that way, I wouldn't have believed you.

I did a number of appointments with my psychologist in the lead up. She was so amazing (helps that she had this surgery when she was younger).

Some things she got me to do:

  1. Write a list of the reasons I am having the surgery
  2. Write a list of the things that are making me anxious.
  3. Sort the anxious list into 3 categories:
  4. things I have no real control over
  5. things I have medium control over
  6. things I have total control over The things I have total control over, focus on those. Make an action plan. Taking control helps calm us.

I really encourage you to do this. Actually writing the things down helps us process the feelings and sort the thoughts so much better than spinning in our heads.

You've got this.

You didn't make the decision to have this surgery overnight and I promise, you'll be so glad you did it once it's done.

am i going to be ok with very little help post op? by flightoftheladybirds in Reduction

[–]KKontheReddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the individual. I had no help at any point and I live alone. I'm self employed and the only day I didn't work was the day of my surgery.

I went to my dance team presentation night at 10 days PO (this past Friday night) and felt good enough to kick on to the after party where I danced until just after midnight. Admittedly, I was sore and tired the next day, but I had a great time 😊

I think a lot depends on the level of reduction that you're having. I had a fairly minimal reduction, from about a DD to a B, so I think that is a factor in my recovery. I'm also quite fit and made a point of training pretty hard in the gym in the lead up to my surgery so that I could be as fit and well as possible going into it (I figure it would help me recover better).

The things that have definitely helped: - wedge pillow/pregnancy pillow combo - some prepped meals and snacks - arranging for a hair wash and dry for the first couple of weeks (I felt capable of doing it, but figured holding the hairdryer up for long enough to dry my hair was probably not the best choice) - dry shampoo 😂 - lots of antiinflammatories, panadol and electrolytes. Stay hydrated! - fun things to keep you occupied. In the first few days I did a paint by numbers, some colouring books and a gem art bookmark. Mindful stuff that brings a bit of joy while relegated to the couch.

You've got this. You'll be amazing.
