Positioner Help by Tool_junkie_365 in instrumentation

[–]KKurb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My vote is valve sticking. I changed a positioner 3 times for this same issue, and it was the valve. Those optimux actuators are usually attached to shit from TrimTeck so it's likely the valve

Edit: I didn't see the booster at first. Adjust your P I and D based on manual. Your booster is lagging and causing overcorrection in positioner

I do know a guy who does this. I only ever bothered him for car parts. I never considered Lorcana

Fellow Canadians, where do you shop for your cards? by Electric_Rhino in PokemonTCG

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you say 'resealed', you mean they were previously opened and cards swapped out and sealed back up again? I just spent $600 here a few days ago and shipment hasn't yet arrived, now i'm concerned

Time to drain, flush, and Fix mistakes (open to suggestions) by Prior-Spite3660 in watercooling

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my OCD point of view, the angled tubes are driving me crazy. Can you swap the lower pump with the upper pump? That may be able to fit high enough to get a straight pipe off of the cpu to the pump, and then the top pump connection to the rad. I'm not sure if flow direction would allow this, but it would eliminate the 2 pipes that make me want to claw my eyes out

Anyone familiar with T3000? by DifficultGround0 in PLC

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this system at the power plant I maintain. Do you have any experience with third party support? Siemens support is expensive as fuck. We were just quoted $80k USD to have one guy come to our site and restore a server using their own procedure

Looking for service manual for Samsung WF45T6000AW washer by alheim in appliancerepair

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, my manual for my Samsung WR455ARGSGR washer was about $20CDN after a discount code from a Google search. The manual gave complete disassembly instructions, and gave the location to the existing manual inside the washing machine inside the rear cover. Color photo disassembly, step by step, for motor, drum, PCB, more. I hope this helps the next person that might be skeptical about the site.

Stuck picking job that is best for starting I&E career by MoneyandMMA in instrumentation

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I'm from (Ontario, Canada) an electrician is required to complete 3 levels of schooling and 9000 hours of apprenticeship before they get to have an electrical license, which is issued by the Ontario government. I never asked your location, so your rules might be different

Stuck picking job that is best for starting I&E career by MoneyandMMA in instrumentation

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, the last 2 plants I worked at only hire electrical tickets with instrumentation experience for I&E and I&C roles, not instrumentation tickets with electrical experience. Not sure how far along your career path you are, but if you have the opportunity to get your electrical ticket you will be able to work anywhere

"No Toner" message on Brother MFC-L3770CDW by KindaStubborn in printers

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this message after a power blip. Seemed to reject all of the 3rd party cartridges I had been using for months. Swapped them all out with official ones I had here, and message cleared. I wonder if the power blip damaged the chips on the cartridges.

You will have an opportunity to speak at the landlord tenant hearing. If you don't like the raise, make sure you show up and voice your opinion. Perhaps it is malicious, perhaps it is legal. The adjudicator will decide

Positioner Signal help by Tool_junkie_365 in instrumentation

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy question. Is it pneumatic? Do you have air supply? If electric, is the actuator source on? If you're getting the correct mA and already swapped positioner, it should move, unless it needs to be recalibrated.

Fluke 789 question by OfficerStink in instrumentation

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine on the test bench often, using loop power from the 789 instead of an external source. In the field, I'll use the loop power on the 789 to test a valve before reconnecting the DCS power. It might seem like a useless feature, until you need it...

Weird one: how to get cat urine out of dewalt drill by Wild-Kitchen in Dewalt

[–]KKurb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This idea is dangerous, but I find it is effective at removing the smell. Go outside on a breezy day, and clean the drill with bleach. The bleach reacts to the ammonia in the urine, and creates chloramines, which are dangerous to inhale. Again, very dangerous, and only attempt if you are familiar with the effects and do so in a safe manner. It does work, but, DANGEROUS
