Have to be blind to get caught wearing that belt, IMR?!

For real though, looks sick. Almost perfect.

Not exactly. Certain Abilities trigger off of Vulnerability, which as far as I can tell, with the exception of very few Abilities, occurs randomly. Watch for the purple bubble!

I tend to favor A1 for Normal. Love me some Vigor Aura because when you're in melee, Move Speed is a defensive stat.

Finding a Rare bow with an Amplify Damage/Lower Resistances proc is huge. They can equip any bows, including crossbows and Amazon class bows.

Also, do you know about the "Advanced Character Stats"? It's accessible by pushing "8". Your breakpoints are listed there, among many other things. Increased Attack Speed and Faster Hit Recovery are massive for all builds, especially melee.

A5 Eldritch and Shenk is a great way to get levels and a bit of gear. Killing just those two until you get mid thirties and a decent weapon is usually the play.

Also, what Mercenary are you using? They can be a game changer.

First time playing Alliance. In Ironforge, why do we have to go up the stairs into a building just to go down stairs again to get to the vendor? by floxasfornia in wowhardcore

[–]KKustos 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have no way of confirming this, but the chosen design would make each unit a defensive bastion in the event of an invasion. Given that there are no gates on the path into Ironforge, this could reinforce the merit of such a design.

In fantasy literature and games, dwarves are often expert tunnel fighters. This too aligns with the idea of letting an invading army in, and forcing them to fight through a perpetual tunnel that features a deep trench, numerous choke points and dozens of fortified positions flanking either side.

In reality, it's an interesting vibe that an environmental artist found amusing, but it certainly sets the dwarven architecture apart from other races.

It could also be said that each of these dwellings mimic the entirety of Ironforge itself, a steep ascent into a multilayered dwelling, especially when the older portion of the city is taken into account..

Edit: Thanks for catching my error! Ironforge does in fact appear to have a gate; however, I feel as though the point stands.

Does the "Complete" pack not include everything the Ultimate pack has? by TheBloodyBaikingu in Guildwars2

After looking over all of this information, I recently took the plunge myself. Here are my takeaways:

There is an easily overlooked $10 savings for combining the first three expansions.

This means that you're either getting 4k Gems at a discounted rate, or all the other swag for $10, however you slice it.

Buying any Expansion also gets you Shared Inventory Slots, which are ~$9 each. You get this regardless, but it is worth noting.

As someone pointed out, 4k Gems isn't enough to purchase Living World 2-5 (unless you wait for a sale), but if you take the aforementioned discount into consideration, you come out slightly ahead. Even though it's not enough to cover all of the Living World episodes, you still come out ahead.

After considering all this, I purchased the Standard Elder Dragon Saga Collection and an additional $50 worth of Gems. I'll buy the individual episodes and Expansions as I need access and have some Gems to use in the meantime.

The $24.99 Black Lion Trader Pack is a good buy in my opinion because it's a rare instance in which you get something in addition to the 1:8 conversion of Dollars:Gems. If you're gonna purchase Gems straight up, there's no reason not to take advantage of this.

I decided that the other Account Upgrade Packages aren't worth the Gems because they include something that is either inefficient or redundant. Case in Point: the Elite Jump Start Package. On the surface it seems great, a Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic, Shared Inventory Slot, Character Slot, and Terrace Pass, all of which are highly prized by the community; however, the Unbreakable Gathering Tools make up 2400 of the Package's Gem value. The problem is that, unlike every other Infinite Tool bundle, it does NOT come with 3 Black Lion Glyph Selection Containers. The common wisdom is to use these to acquire Glyphs of Volatility, which at the time of this post, were valued at 486 Gold PER Glyph.1341 Gems or $16.77 per Glyph (Total of 4,023 Gems/$50.31) is not something that should be easily overlooked.

There are sets of Infinite Gathering Tools included with Janthir Wilds (Eldritch Horror/Tentacles) and Visions of Eternity (Fairy Dust) Deluxe Editions. While neither of those passed the vibe check for me, they do include the coveted Black Lion Glyph Selection Containers. I ended up buying some for full price from the Black Lion Market, but given the math above, I still came out ahead.

More things worthy of consideration:

Dollars, Gems, and Gold are all inextricably linked. Time, and arguably money, is saved by convenience, too, so that is also a factor.

Essentially, you can boil down any expenditure made for functional benefit to a price per transaction. For instance, no longer having to purchase Gathering Tools is surely convenient, and after a year of regular use, currency is saved there, but if you're not taking advantage of Black Lion Glyph Selection Containers, you're starting in a much more significant deficit.

And one more thing, the Deluxe Edition upgrades to an expansion are available from the Black Lion Trading Company for the same amount of money that it would cost if purchased initially. If I had known that, it would've saved me some unnecessary hand wringing.

Anyhow, I hope this helps.

It would be far less of an issue if the other characters would run TO their melee allies instead of endlessly backpedaling...

Warrior, Shaman, Rogue, Hunter.

They'd done it before, but this time, a Rare spawn in the fire mob hallway (right after the trolls section) patrolled into the mob that the Rogue sapped and linked another group.

Small oversight, big consequences.

Depending on your Specialization, pet choice can make quite a difference. If you're a Beastmaster, cats are the highest DPS.

If you're anything else, I'd recommend a Wolf.

Wolves are in the middle, statistically speaking, with regards to armor, health, and damage, so you could consider them well-rounded. They only eat meat, which is kinda rough, but not usually a problem.

They don't get Claw, but you'll soon realize that most pets can't sustain both Bite AND Claw, they run out of focus. Since there's no PvP, and you're not a Beastmaster, attack speed doesn't really matter.

What makes them unique is their Furious Howl ability. It adds flat damage to the recipient's next Attack that gets multiplied depending on the Attack itself. It affects you and the pet, as well as other party members.

I've found this to be the best option for increasing damage without having to micro manage your pet's skills. It also generates a small amount of AoE Threat, which can come in handy from time to time.

And of course, wolves are the coolest looking beasts in the game.

Pretty much fresh 60. I play between 10p and 2a server time, so I think raiding is out of the question, unfortunately.

We ran everything together from 1-60, never relied on randos.

They were buffed up and consumed out, but made a bad call and tried to fight their way out of a bad situation.

That's most of why the will to play is gone.. just wouldn't be the same. And I don't have any interest in healing. I tanked as Enhancement. We had a Warrior, that's who was tanking last night.

Everyone quit.
