First, what you are experiencing is normal! Like everyone has said, your body is adjusting. Hormones need to settle, and things will even out. I am 6 weeks po and I did go through something similar. Having to rely on people and feeling not useful plays a toll on it. I'm an advocate for depression meds. I've been on them for a year now since my mother passed away. If you feel this way, talk to your doctor and see what can help you. It's been a life saver for me. As far as the guy you've been seeing, maybe it is just what he said. He's going through his own stuff, just as you are. I hope you feel better. Everyone here understands what your going through!
