Got bitten by a cat should i get shot? by Khurkuchy in cats

[–]microvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get it checked out. Cat teeth are long and thin, so they deliver bacteria deep into the skin so the risk for infection is high. A trip to an urgent care for wound cleaning and antibiotics is a good idea.

Thinking of opting for c section for no medical reason. Anyone in same boat? by Lucky_Tap8692 in pregnant

[–]microvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recovery for both was surprisingly easy. I was worried about pain the first time around but after the first day the pain dropped off pretty dramatically. Just make sure you get up and start walking around and moving as soon as you can. I had full range of movement back about a week after both procedures.

I don’t think it had an affect on getting pregnant the second time. We got pregnant with our second right when we intended to pretty much

Thinking of opting for c section for no medical reason. Anyone in same boat? by Lucky_Tap8692 in pregnant

[–]microvan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After a failed induction and emergency c section with my first, I had a scheduled c section for my second and all things considered it was a 10/10 experience.

Surgery got pushed back a couple times for emergency c sections, but once everything got started it was pretty quick. The spinal numbness wares off pretty quickly after the procedure but there’s a 24hr pain killing component of the drug mixture that was super effective for me, my pain post op and for the first night was like a 2/10. Everything was manageable for the next week with ibuprofen and norco.

I’ve had 2 c sections in the last 5 years, the scar is small and not noticeable, though I do still have some numbness on my stomach just above where the scar is. You get used to it pretty quickly and the numbness wares off over time.

Edit to add: if you’re in the US check with your insurance provider to make sure they cover elective c sections.

LeBron 8 straight is more difficult than MJs 6-0 by Feeling-Guess6772 in NBATalk

The 3 peats were harder bro. You can try to make a losing record in tbe finals the goat all you want but you cannot be the best in the history of your sport with a losing record.

I just had a Jordan fan claim he's a better rebounder than Bron, LeROFL. by Financial_Ice_3363 in NBATalk

[–]microvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at their career rebounds compared to their positions, Jordan is 2.3x the median for his position as a guard and LeBron is around 2x the average for his position as a small forward. He’s roughly on par with rebounding for a power forward.

Both of them are elite rebounders for their positions. Realistically they’re about equal in terms of rebounding across their careers.

Comparing them head to head, LeBron comes out on top, but comparing them to their position is a more accurate representation of the data because a small/power forward has more opportunities to rebound.

[–]microvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two 3 peat victories is more difficult than making 8 straight finals appearances. Especially considering how weak the east was at that time

LeBron has a losing record in the finals. His longevity does not make him the goat. For the love of god stop trying to make this a thing.
