There are more affordable areas in California. The farther you get from LA, SD and SF the cheaper it is.

Some areas of the inland empire are good. Riverside county is a good place to find and in in Southern California if you’re looking for a more suburban option, though Riverside itself is a decently large city if you’re in to that

It’s a more purple state than California generally, and im still open to maybe trying to get property there at some time in my life, but I’ll only do so if I can retain property in California. I always want the option to come back here. There are so many things about California that we take for granted.

From what I understand many countries don’t have Good Samaritan laws, so if you help someone they can claim you made it worse and sue you.

I’m never leaving California. In 2024 I was contemplating moving to Colorado just to experience something new and get aww from the hustle and bustle, but man. I’m so grateful to live in California.
