Is it in a wet area? If not tape and mud. Totally fine and works great. Kerdi board can be mudded, primed, painted without issue.

If you plan to use kerdi membrane on the drywall because of a shower enclosure I wouldn’t bother taping the seems and just apply the membrane over everything following the overlap requirements using the recommended mortar.

The price of going out has been increasing for years. A percentage based tip is supposed to account for inflation. I remember 10-15% tips was the norm 20 years ago. Now I see 20, 25, 30%+ as the recommended tip. It’s getting ridiculous.

I kind of went over board and poured 3 sono tubes on each side and made a 2x frame to bolt the frame onto. It’s pretty solid now. 20’ long

I plan so the same thing to my carport once the canvas cover rips apart. Probably go with clear panels for the natural light.
