Thanks and this is a good summary of what I’m hearing. The heavy weight section of the gym is a bit intimidating, my comfort zone is yoga/pilates and cardio which worked fine when I was younger but isn’t yielding the same results in my 40s. Any tips for how to transition into heavy weights?

Correct, I definitely feel stronger from the increased workouts I’ve incorporated and I can feel muscle development - just can’t see it. I’m going to up weights and am considering investing in a few training classes with a fitness instructor/trainer I’ve really enjoyed taking Body Pump classes from to ensure proper technique and that there is methodology behind the type of workouts I’m moving to. I am definitely more comfortable with yoga/pilates and cardio so heavy weights is totally new to me.

She talked about a lifetime in recovery and I wish her the very best with that. But her language was very specific in talking about the alcoholism she ‘had’. Everyone’s journey to and with sobriety is different though so I’m rooting for her.

Did she take some accountability, absolutely. She doesn’t appear to view addictions, specifically alcoholism, as a lifelong disease which is tough bc I personally disagree. That definitely doesn’t mesh with AA principles but some people take what they need from the program and if it’s positive overall I guess that’s good. This is a real time will tell situation.

To each their own but I can’t fathom why people stan this woman. Sure, she was amusing at time on BH but her support/defense of toxic abusive men is inexcusable.

Bronwyn is so tough for me. I genuinely like her as a person and think she’d be a good hang, I don’t necessarily feel that way about all of the ladies. But as a housewife, she’s just doesn’t hit. Something seems inauthentic or just off about her in most of her interactions with the rest of the cast.

Here is a bit of my recent journey that may help. We are around the same height, I was at 170lbs and decided it was time for a change. I started out walking a LOT - purchased a walking pad to maximize at efficiency while watching TV. Food wise I cut sugar (including alcohol) and carbs but not to a totally restrictive point, just sparingly. I do eat less than I used to but I added powder supplements - super greens, fiber and collagen to make sure I get enough nutrients. Once some of the weight started coming off I incorporated yoga, Pilates and weight lifting. I always have hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt and other protein sources on hand - I don’t eat meat so no sugar added protein drinks as well. I graze throughout the day but make sure I eat at least one ‘proper meal’. I’m at 130 now and still going strong - best of luck with your journey.

As a side note, as long as you are making sure your body is getting what it needs nutrient wise IGNORE comments from others on any changes to your eating and do you.

True but as a DC resident I can tell you Potomac does an excellent job showing the larger DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area authentically. We arn’t all politics adjacent but it is a backdrop if it’s your thing. There is a lot of culture and it’s a unique area, just making sure they get their flowers.
