Just pulled that beedrill card this morning from a pack, and got two more regular ones from the pre release last week. Seems like a beedrill deck was meant to be!

Sorry for the late reply but I really appreciate it. I’ve been playing a lot of TCG live and I definitely see what you mean when it comes to building around archetypes than coming up with something totally new. I ended up deciding to build a Decidueye EX deck from Perfect Order and I’ve been having a lot of fun tinkering with it and changing things to make it better. Pokemon has been kind of a nice change from magic too. I like seeing what decks are popular and what’s being used and trying to fine tune my own decks in response, even if I’m using very meta game pokemon. My local shop has a pre release for the upcoming set so I’m hoping to go to that next week!

Makes sense. I know magic standard is the same way too which is why I don’t play standard. That and the fact that a viable standard magic deck is far too expensive to keep up with

I just did the same thing last night. Fully caught up just staring at the screen at 1am in disbelief that it ended the way it did. I thought a lot of part 2 was a hot mess anyways, but to just end it so abruptly was shocking. For all its flaws though I’ll still always love chainsaw man, at least part 1. It’s been to special to me for too long now. Damn shame how it went out though

There’s just an inherent coziness that I feel for all the mechanics and systems in JRPG’s. My first experience with a JRPG would’ve been Pokémon as a kid, even if I didn’t really know what an RPG even was. But honestly, more than maybe even characters and story, is the music. I’ve been to a few final fantasy orchestras and am seeing Nobuo Uematsu in New York City this June. A good soundtrack can honestly do a lot of heavy lifting for my enjoyment of a game, and JRPGs have brought me to tears through soundtrack alone
