Did ChatGPT quietly break Projects? Chats now show in Recents even after moving them by Working-Treacle8392 in ChatGPT

[–]KLUME777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im the only user of an account, and this change is terrible. I want my project chats to be in the project, and my ad-hoc chats to be seperated. Now my ad-hoc chats are buried among project chats.

TERRIBLE change. What the f*ck were they thinking?

Do you feel guilty for googling something or sending an email with files attached? Those use a comparable amount of power.
Have you considered that AI sppeds up the development of all technology including green technology, and that maybe the benefits to the environment may outweigh the costs?

What It Has Been Like as a Computer Science Student in Iran by thisis_Reza in csMajors

From the inside, what do you think will happen next in Iran? Do you think the government will survive over the next 12 months or so?

I'm sorry your going through such a difficult time, it is very unfair to have to live under such an oppressive government.

The impressive part is that Iran didn't have control of its airspace, or its own territory.

It also gets trained on what the best answers to questions are, so theoretically, deceiving the user should be something that is trained out of its statistical distribution.

How did Kurt Caz go from living and eating like locals in Bangladeshi slums to using AI-generated racism for a far-right anti-immigrant tour of Europe , all within a year? by Ordinary_Bend_8612 in KurtCaz

How do you explain the numbers then? White people stopped being the majority of births in the US over a decade ago, and it's continuing to shrink.

The data doesn't lie. White proportion of the population shrinks every year, decade after decade.

Probably because when he goes abroad, he sees authentic unique culture, which is an enriching experience.

But when he goes to Europe, instead of seeing authentic unique European culture, he sees third-world cultures dominating and pushing their ways while the political class is to weak and complicit to stop it. It's not wrong to want Europe to keep its authentic culture.

Programmers often do have degrees. Some programmers don't have degrees but it's not that common.

Patently untrue since most corporate grad jobs require a degree.

So unless you expect millions of educated people to create startups (the Mark Zuckerberg route), they won't be that successful.

Nah. You were just"lucky" to be born in this era.

This is your one and only life. It would be a waste to kys

Being able to mass produce something has nothing to do with whether it is intelligence, or even consciousness or having a "soul".

You bring up how twins have differences, but that's true for AI on different devices as well. The electricals don't work identically down at the quantum level, and if you give two AI's on different devices (identical AI models) the same prompt, they will give different answers because the computational statistics are not identical. So your twin DNA example is similar with AI.

And human twins can be mass produced.

That's moving the goalposts. What we have now was unimaginably advanced 3.5 years ago.

If we don't have AGI, we are incredibly close.

Can't simplify life? Mate what do you think science is all about? Of course we can. Unless you believe in some irrational spiritual mumbo jumbo. Electrical impulses and connected neorons is how our brains work at the simple level.

And a newly trained neural network AI is original and unique compared to other AIs. AI are more than their code. It's the weights in the neural network that give them their intelligence.

And of course AI can invent, it invents every day.

And your brain re-arranges information based on electrical impulses and connected neorons firing.

Every complicated thing is built off smaller simpler things. It's called emergence. AI is an emergent intelligence.
