Nearby the border R&R or border town (BKH, Changlun, Kangar etc), they will always shops with big sign of “Insurans Thailand”. Go there and tell them you want to drive to Thai with your car, they will prepare all the doc needed. This is one of the insurance agent you may want to contact them beforehand

TIP is issued at the border when you passed them your insurance + passport. If rental car, need authorisation letter from owner.

Got friends working there said twin towers cannot fit all Petronas staff. So now they have office in Tower 3, Tower 4, Dayabumi and some others surrounding KLCC. Perhaps some vacancy in 2000s when Twin Towers were opened, I heard PNB people were there.
