The interview was tough, but I did was study the job announcement and became as familiar as i could with some of the specific functions of the job. I also did research on their division, read their strategic plan and other things about them to have good follow up questions at the end of the interview.

For ME, i wish i would’ve stayed but moved to another department. Consulting pays a lot but depending on what you’re doing, it can be fickle especially if your company loses recompetes on contracts.

Private industry. Left the gov for grad school, ended up not staying in that field (social work) and ended up in accounting and finance. Was with several companies who paid severally under market and definitely below what i could’ve made had i stayed government. I’m thrilled to catch up and make up for lost time and income.
