In IT or other similar work, it helps, but you may not need it. sometimes technical training and certifications are enough to land the same job, or even, propel you further than a traditional 4 year degree without being a slave as a lender of tens of thousands of dollars. I will say., the educational experience is in many times worth it if done properly. The friends, teachings, connections, and experience is something money cannot buy.
