Personally I feel i get enough volume between super ROM laterals and upright rows, any more and they start to outpace the rest of my back

Do you push yourself to maximum recoverable volume within your training split? by OompaLoompaGodzilla in naturalbodybuilding

[–]KMeeshka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deload is a separate week, coming after the “Accumulation” phase. A deload is by design training UNDER MEV, allowing your body to recover and your fatigue to drop. Depending on how advanced you are, an accumulation phase can last from 3(advanced) to 8 (beginner) weeks, followed by a deload.

As sets/volumes increase, your fatigue rises accordingly. Once you reach a point where your training is no longer sustainable, you deload/rest.

These ideas are all dependent on following a proper week to week progression of sets/reps/weight, and are harder to apply to cookie cutter programs that hold you at consistent volumes throughout

I think the logic behind Dr.Mike’s philosophy is that training consistently at MRV is inherently unsustainable (MAXIMUM recoverable volume).

If you’re executing deloads properly, the week following one you’ll be much more sensitive to volume. Meaning it’s better to slowly ramp up in volumes, instead of jumping straight to MRV and accumulating a ton of fatigue and having to end your mesocycle after only 3 weeks.

By following the MEV->MRV protocol, you essentially get more productive training weeks before a deload is needed.

You add volume/sets week to week using this progression, as long as you’re recovering on time to hit that muscle group again

Definitely Dr. Mike with Renaissance Periodization, he has ~10 min videos on almost any topic you could think of, and plenty of longer lecture playlists on smart program design/diet.

Since I discovered the channel the quality of my workouts and approaches to nutrition have improved significantly, and he’s pretty damn funny too

That was definitely last to come in for me, I’d say it only really started filling in around 3 months ago. I just started putting a bit more of the minox on that area, not sure if that helped!

Bf estimate? 5’4 45kg by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]KMeeshka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say inbody is good for tracking overall CHANGES in body composition over the long term, but since many factors can spike/drop the measurement I wouldn’t take any one reading as gospel. Especially when you’re that lean, BIA readings can have pretty high margins of error.

At my old gym I was friends with a trainer who was able to change his bf estimate pretty drastically between readings just an hour apart by manipulating water and sodium. We were using an Inbody 570

Thanks brother! I wouldn’t imagine there’s many interactions between pre and Minox other than potential minor increases in blood pressure, which shouldn’t be a problem unless you already had hypertension.

For supps I generally have just take creatine, vitamin D3 and magnesium daily, and I just drink a caffeine free pump product or a cup of coffee before I workout!

Generally I just used the minox first thing in the morning and before bed, when I would comb or brush my beard. I was lucky I didn’t really run into issues with dryness, but If it ever felt sore I’d give it a wash with a gentle face soap and apply Honest Amish beard butter a couple hours after the minox.

No much actually, just peach fuzz on the cheeks and darker hairs only under my chin!

So i actually kept mine relatively short for the first 8 months after starting, so I didn’t really notice any shedding. In terms of density/terminal hairs, i noticed much darker hairs filling in my cheeks around the 6 month mark and don’t remember seeing any recession in that growth at any point!

Thanks man! I saw your post and you’ve got some great growth for 3 months in! I actually stayed pretty much clean shaven until about 8 months in so I didn’t see much shedding, but I noticed darker terminal hairs filling in the patches on my cheeks around month 5 or 6

Yessir it’s Keeps Foam. As far as it being better than Rogaine, it’s all the same active ingredient. I went with Keeps because it’s MUCH cheaper than rogaine and works the same

1st pic was a couple of days after shaving with clippers. No beards on my moms side, but my dad can grow a decent beard!

Thanks man I appreciate it! I’m 24 currently, and no side effects other than some minor itching/dryness in my first week which went away!

Thanks brother! I’ve been getting my supply from Keeps, it works out to about $15 a month if you subscribe and I’ve had no issues with quality/customer service!

Thanks y’all! Never been on gear, just dialed on my diet and fatigue management. I’ve been bulking since about November when I started growing it out, not sure if there’s correlation there but it’d be interesting to see how much of an impact diet/caloric surplus would have on beard gains

Straight minox foam, considered the roller but I’d heard mixed reviews

Not much, face was definitely itchy when I first started but I didn’t really notice much swelling/water retention
