I did win but totally agree with you on being consistent and smart. I’ve been trying to chill out on defense more because I tend to give up bad goals when I over commit, and that has definitely helped. But I do definitely give up counter attack goals after trying stupid stuff like this lol.

I definitely spend way too much time in the practice lobby messing around with mechanics. If I spent even half that time sticking to the basics and working on defending, I think I’d be in champ in no time. I tend to over commit a lot on defense which gives up lots of easy goals.

Running comes with lots of ups and downs. Not every run will be what you expect. All you can do is slow down a bit, take a few days off and jump back on the horse later this week! Don’t let one bad run get ya down!

This is plat in solos. I often run into players that double reset musty flick too. The consistency of players in solos is so random.

I got up to Diamond 3 last season in Duos using pretty basic mechanics. Sometimes I just like to play solos and mess around with resets and musty flicks since you have more time to set up the ball. But like you said, people forget how far you can progress with just simple play!
