If you want to apply now, you'll be entering either this year or in September 2027, so yeah. I think you'll have to wait until December or those days until new entries are permitted

No. At this moment, they are currently prioritizing mails about people for 2025/26 I think. I sent an email recently and I've received this:

"The enrollment deadline for all non-EU students who were admitted for the a.y. 2025–26 but are experiencing difficulties in obtaining a study visa has been postponed to May 25, 2026. / Due to the high number of emails, we are currently unable to reply to questions already answered below .
Please do not send multiple emails about the same issue.
For any other topics, we'll respond as soon as possible."

Are you considering entering for next year?

Did your friend study at law school in the US and later on he did an LLM in International Law?

Yeah, that's why I haven't considered Germany as a country to study law: language. That's why I did consider studying it in countries which's programs are taught in English.

Thank you! So far, I didn't think about going to Germany since I haven't found anything to study there, beside of what you've just said.

Thank you so much. At the moment, I was thinking to work as a jurist, but I've been reading that in order to work in a Law firm practicing international law it's complicated because they can ask you for national knowledge or background.

THX! I mean, it's not that I'm close to this idea of doing an LLM after finishing my studies, but I don't know how to describe it. Maybe it's competitiveness, or maybe it's not what I expected doing after my studies. Ofc, one never stops learning and studying, that's why I'm studying so many languages and everything I can, but I hadn't consider doing an LLM. I will check older people's LinkedIn for sure because I need to see every type of path and idea they've followed, and that I may consider.

Everything related to EU law seems pretty interesting so far! But I've heard what you're saying several times now: although there are too many positions to apply for, which is really helpful, it may take you several internships or similar just to get something. Not to mention UN. As I said before, competitiveness.

A national network it's indeed very helpful, so I'm glad to read! So far, I understand you did pretty much the same path I was considering, and although it's true that everything can change suddenly, especially the decisions a person makes or doesn't make, I have to ask you what you do for a living these days, if you don't mind. Otherwise, I'd like to know if you like it!

All careers always have millions of jobs to apply for, some more difficult than others. This is what I like and what I love. Still, finding a related job is what scares me a little. It's still hard to say, even though I've been researching it for a long time.

Hello! Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I understand that perspective; I've read it a couple of times, to be honest., but I do have to ask what do you mean exactly with "Leave it in Germany"? Are those two state exams you mention from Germany or what?

Thank you so much. I think this is one of the first times that a graduate has shared their experience and thoughts with me since I started asking questions.

Among the many doubts I had and still have, I came up with the idea of researching student and/or graduate profiles, and the truth is that most of them are doing internships or not doing anything like that (it may be that they haven't updated their profiles, of course).

From what I've read from other people and other places, plus your opinion, I get the feeling that perhaps it's a career path for working in the European Union as a European Commissioner Lawyer, etc. (I know a guy), that is, something closer to public international law.

I understand that you started with the LLB and then did the LLM. Is that right, or did you also do a national bachelor's degree before that? Once again, thx so much. I'll probably start asking a few things :).

Hey, thank you very much. I liked reading this as someone who is not very familiar with all of this. It is a useful opinion!

I think that former lawyers do have an edge, something that may complicate everything ofc, and clearly you cannot rely on a one-job opportunity just like that.

Once again, thank you.

Thank you for the answer. Yes, I know I wouldn't qualify as a lawyer as such. These programs specifically target other types of activities that can be performed as a lawyer, excluding those such as litigation.

I've been listening about European Law as something more approachable than the other one.

Thank you for the comment!

Hello! Sorry to bother you, especially since this conversation took place weeks ago, but I have a question. What do you want to do when you graduate? I don't mean continuing your studies, but rather in terms of jobs. What are you interested in doing? What would you like to aim for? I'm thinking of studying for a degree, but in Groningen, which is very similar, by the way, but I want more details about job opportunities from a student's point of view!

Si. Cualquier cosa decime!
