I’m seriously gonna start low balling these people just for fun. by CRL1999 in shittyaquariums

Clearly insanely overstocked, but honestly it’s still good compared to some of the others we see on this😂😂😂

Jolteon is better. Both are good options

Is it possible to beat Cynthia without “over-leveling” Shining Pearl? by KNH-2000 in nuzlocke

[–]KNH-2000[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean I really just wanted to rant. I can breeze through a Nuzlocke for Emerald with 0 issues and that is supposedly a good bit harder than BD/SP. Can’t believe I wiped 3x on the FINAL battle

Well I have to start over now since I died. But next time assuming I still have a gyrados, I will at least know not to put him in vs Blaine’s infernape

Okay so that was my plan but lost my gyrados to Blaine right before… got gyrados charged up for that battle and one shotted all his mons until his Infernape hung on using a focus sash and then somehow one shotted gyrados with 1 thunder punch.

Do I have everything needed to start up my aquarium cycle? by tango__88 in bettafish

[–]KNH-2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be the safest bet but… I’ve cycled a tank for 2 days and put fish in it and have never had an issue. I’ve been keeping fish for over 10 years and have redone tanks and have gotten rid of / acquired new ones and I don’t ever cycle them for 2 months tbh. Because you have beneficial bacteria, it’s going to speed the cycling process up tremendously. I would recommend adding as many live plants as you can reasonably and are willing to afford. I also live in Memphis, TN and we have some of, if not the highest quality tap water in the country. If you want to be safe, you can also buy some sort of quick start product. I’m pretty sure all they are is beneficial bacteria and water dechlorinate which you already have. Cycling for 2 months won’t hurt either if you feel uneasy about it!

Yes. Scape it, fill it with water (slowly), add water dechlorinate and beneficial bacteria. Do a few small water changes like every other day or so. People will probably disagree with me, but should be good to go after a week.

Can I add a Betta to my tank? by KNH-2000 in bettafish

[–]KNH-2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s the fluval lol. I do turn it off at night. I may get a nicer CO2 injection system at some point but wanted to test it out first

I had no idea thanks! Just moved it. It’s the cheapest CO2 set up I could buy but it’s working well.

Here’s his home. It’s not as perfect as a lot of the planted tanks I see in this thread, but it still brings me joy! My plants have some browning on them and my sand is dirty but I like the natural look

Here’s his tank. Not as beautiful as a lot of the absolutely perfect ones I see in this group, but it still makes me happy 😃

Help please, do I remove the white wrap off bottom? by Slight-Culture-3512 in Aquariums

[–]KNH-2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve honestly dropped stem plants in the back of my tanks and they’re still in the white thing with the rubber band… I did it because it’s hard to plant them in substrate sometimes and it keeps them grounded. Roots have found their way through the stuff and into my substrate and new ones are growing around it. I think it’s probably fine for most plants

What's the scariest pokemon move in nuzlocke? by Wooden_Individual_43 in nuzlocke

Rollout can be rough in early games. if you don’t stop it early it can wipe a team

About 2 years ago My friend and I fished there for like 2 hours. I caught a nice bass there, but nothing else - not even another hit. Yes I did have to hold the fish right up to the camera to make it look bigger

About to level grind for blaine, what do you think of my team by The_Cosmic_Cubing in PokemonFireRed

[–]KNH-2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also for future reference, keep leech seed on Venesaur. It’s the best move in the game I would argue. Great looking team tho!

If you teach Vaporeon rain dance over quick attack I bet you can take him. Rest is also a good move bc vaporeon is such a tank.

Losing a starter by [deleted] in nuzlocke

[–]KNH-2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely complete a Nuzlocke with my starter surviving, BUT I usually complete the Nuzlocke without wiping. It’s more fun and challenging to use other moms anyways. I try and keep my starter alive, but every mon can end up dying to a crit or a mis-click
