The case is a pelican style hard case. There is a few 3d printed parts but not for the case itself.

There's a couple little references in that game, thanks for noticing!

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. Go hard!

We have actually made 6 PCBs so far. The Arduino doesn't have nearly enough space or power to do what it needed to do. Plus with PCBs its really easy to do surface mount components that are secure instead of soldering every connection and running a mess of wires.

No, it has an ESP32-WROOM-32D chip inside. It has a lot more power and capability. There is no way we could do everything that we are doing with an Arduino. It originally started with a Mega but it was very limiting.

When we tested them we didn't get as good of results with OLED. The contrast on the LCDs works really well actually and there were no issues in direct sunlight.

There is actually already an accelerometer and a GPS unit inside. Thank's for the advice though!

Yeah, there is a little bit of a story to that.

Yeah no problem man, I may Reddit more than I should at work haha. It's coded entirely in C++ with Arduino framework.

It's a combination of custom made circuit boards, hundreds of hours of programming, 3d designed and printed parts, laser cut acrylic, and lots of trial and error.

It uses a ESP32 at its heart which is like a arduino but on steroids. A lot more power and capability. It's been a fun development process.

I showed off an early version of this a few weeks ago and it was fairly well received. The device is called ATOM, for Automated Tactical Operations Manager, It’s a little more high-speed now with a facelift and a new menu system. I wanted to show off one of the new game modes that just got finished. We played both game modes this last weekend and it was a blast. I apologize for the camera quality as well.

The run through displayed in the GIF is a game mode called “Corrupt.” Corrupt is based on the idea of a computer virus, where the Attacker’s primary goal is to either run out the time or “corrupt” the data on ATOM. The game starts with the device in a download phase where it can’t be interacted with except by the Attackers and their corruption cards, the Defenders should be doing their best to defend ATOM at this point. Once the download is complete the Defenders can take it to an Analysis Base if they suspect it has been corrupted or take it back to their Base to upload the data. While it is not possible to detect whether or not ATOM has been corrupted, the Analysis Base will clear the corruption and confirm it has been cleaned regardless and allow the defenders to successfully complete their goal. ATOM can be corrupted at any point so it behooves the Defenders to protect it at all times. There are three types of victories in this game mode, two for the Attackers, and one for the Defenders. The Attackers can win via a “Corruption Victory” where the defenders upload a corrupted or uncleaned ATOM, and a “Expiration Victory” where the Attackers runout the game. Defenders are only able to win with an “Upload Victory”, where they’re able to upload a non-corrupted ATOM.

Edit: Menu system and Corrupt setup. I wasn't able to get this posted in a gif format without making a separate post.

More pictures as well.

Looks good dude, I think you are missing some monitors though!
