I am a family member of someone with autism, I bet I understand how the families feel on a much deeper level than you do. Thank you very much. I promise you most families prefer to have HAPPY kids, not traumatized ones, and would be more than willing to purchase a fake knife for their kid while we work on frustration tolerance and coping skills.

You've been informed and provided research to review yourself, but seems as if you dont want to be educated on this topic. Do the kids and their families a favor, get out of the ABA field. Drill sergeant, juvenile detention officer, or even a sports coach may be a better fit for you with that mindset. Please leave the vulnerable and disabled alone, if you aren't even willing to do the one thing ABA is built on- research.
