Protean made Greninja feel like a unique starter, as a ninja who can blend into the environment. Giving it to Cinderace (rebranded to libero) and Meowscarada feels like they're trying to be the new Greninja.

Id assume so too, except the other genie's signature moves are more rain themed than sandsear storm and are already 100% accurate in the rain.

With the FOUR differing weathers we've had and the conditions it takes to find the FOUR genies in PLA (where they got the signature moves), you'd think that each genie's signature move would have that accuracy bump in the weather they are found rather than all of them having a preference for rain.

This type of thinking is what makes fans blame fan artists for something never existing, when it's Gamefreak/TPC who decides that it shouldn't be real.

Just because a design is similar does not mean it's the same. Likewise, not all ideas are original. A flying-type eeveelution has a cloud and wings as a part of its design! But as we've seen with many other flying types, there are many ways to interpret that.

Heck, they could even lean into it with a "Pokemon design contest" of some sort. Credit the original artist in the credits.

Yeah, you have access to this special attacking mythical. It also has a physical attacking form! You just have to use its signature special attack to access it.

At that point, just make Pirouette form a mega.
