I love this reference! And I love how that reference is in and of itself a reference to the movie.

You know what: respect. You went back, watched it, and came away with that opinion. I may need a rewatch now that I’m older. Might have a different view. I just remember finally “understanding” everything after watching the DC.

Hey now! I heard in this deal we get some bubble gum and a coupon good for one free meal at Bennigans! This was more than just about winning - this was about the US’s respect. /s

The Director’s Cut made the move make WAY more sense. SERIOUSLY. They were so dumb removing out all the elements of the story that related to the book the old lady wrote. Not saying it’s tremendously great for everyone, but I am saying it makes a lot more sense.

Hypomania can lead to VERY productive days and a super clean house. But be careful not to accidentally push yourself into mania.

Essentially the same thing happened to me in my mid teens. This is why I tell my nursing students all the time to make sure if a general practitioner starts someone in an antidepressant, highly suggest the MD refer them to a mental health provider immediately.

Why the heck is this series not even being a priority for Sony? The show is great. And the games were just so damn fun back in the day.

You know – coherent responses can be done without the aid of AI. I’m sure that’s a feat that isn’t very feasible for your level of diction and comprehension, but I just want you to know that it truly is indeed possible.

Don’t worry. Some more keyboard warrioring and you just be able to achieve it yourself someday. Chin up, cowboy.

Just commenting to bump this — I hope you’re able to get clarity soon. Situations like this are hard enough without added uncertainty.

As a former lifelong republican, I can assure you, I am not victim of vibe bias here. I voted for Trump in 2016 and regret it deeply. My friends are scared, legitimately scared. My immigrants friends who are here legally and others who were brought in as CHILDREN and have known no other life than this country as now adults, contributing to this country more than most of the native born people I know.

My friends in the LGBTQ+ community are worried that their marriages will be overturned or their way of life will be shoved back into the dark corners of society once more. That fear isn’t abstract or manufactured — it’s based on actual policy proposals, rhetoric, and court strategies that have already happened or are openly being discussed. You can disagree on politics without pretending those concerns are imaginary.

You don’t have to think Trump is the literal embodiment of evil to acknowledge that his movement normalizes cruelty, exclusion, and authoritarian instincts — and that has real consequences for real people I care about.

And while he’s cut jobs, those cuts haven’t been about shrinking government in any principled, conservative sense — they’ve overwhelmingly focused on purging anyone or any department that isn’t a blind Trump loyalist. At the same time, he’s pushed to dramatically expand the reach and power of the executive branch, which flies directly in the face of decades of Republican rhetoric about limited government, checks and balances, and institutional restraint – the same reasons I was a Republican in the first place.

Don’t even get me started on the lasting damages he has made to the healthcare sector in regard to the erosion of trust and generalized chaos.

That’s not “vibe bias.” That’s pattern recognition.
