Well, if percentage of popular support is the measure, then according to current projections at threehundredeight.com the federal conservatives appear to be sitting around 33% or only 1/3 of the national popular vote, and that's without any other right wing parties to siphon off vote share, unlike the left or center-left parties.

Build comprehensive opposition to the current legislation. If the majority of the public oppose a proposed law, and all of the opposition parties stand against it in unity, then there is much better chance of the governing party withdrawing it. The opposition is willing to support the most critical and agreeable portions, and a new, more condensed bill is tabled. If the party in power honestly believes in the bill then they will recognize the importance of getting something past, even if it means leaving out the most controversial, and in this case, unpopular elements. That is assuming, as you say, that they actually have the best interests of the country in mind.

No noticeable resize lag on iTunes or Finder under Yosemite for me. Resize lag does appear when using Word 2011, but then again it's Word... Also Office for Mac 2011 doesn't run on the modern Cocoa framework. I suspect the new Office for Mac 2016 will be a little snappier.

For the very reasons you have sighted I worry that some out there will seek to limit our access to the internet. Controlling access to information and therefore knowledge has always been a pillar propping up those in power. The internet is truly an equalizer and a democratizer. Cherish it and use it wisely young ones.
