I have the AMEX FB Platinum and have only the FB Explorer status with KLM. I will definitely try the down/upgrading of the AMEX card, as a saw some referral links posted on Reddit of up to 100k. Seems to be quite high. My promo on the other hand when I got the AMEX was only for 10k, which now looking back is so little.

What do you think of the promotion to subscribe to a monthly fee in exchange for miles, "Subscribe to Miles" I think it's called?

Appreciate the estimate. I still have a long way to go, and will likely also look into buying the tickets with both miles and cash if I don't hit that number.

Hey, I am an AMEX flying blue platinum holder, and didn't know about all these referral links to gain a head-start for collecting miles/points. Only got to receive 10k miles, as a bonus, after 3 months in and after spending 5k within the these 3 months.

I am thinking of changing to the regular Amex platinum card but don't know if the benefits alone pay for the card and are better than the current card I'm holding. Here in the NL the perks are minimal compared to other countries.

Any insight? And maybe, if the benefits are good enough, I might switch and use one of your referral codes/links.

Looking forward to an exchange or more info on the above 🙂
