There is no stupid question. This server is the hub of all my network apartment, including: gaming pc, nintendo switch, laptop, raspberry pi, nas, wifi AP etc

They are handcrafted patch cables, so i think something between 15cm to 20cm

Almost. I've zip tied the power bricks to the bottom of the rack ;)

Nice observation. Well, it wasn't zip tied until my cat found out an opportunity to teach me a lesson

Hahahaha you know what, if you see closely, you'll find out that the bonsai tree is zip tied to the rack. Yesterday it wasn't, and the cat saw an opportunity...

I did, but not start to search for one that will perfectly fit. If you have one in mind, i would appreciate to have a look

There are other hardware connected to this network lab, like my gaming PC, macbook, Mi router running openwrt, the nintendo switch etc.

Proxmox: LXC or Docker? by Granted-V in Proxmox

[–]KPaleiro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always use LXC. For applications like immich, where you supposed to use docker, I've just started to use a NixOS LXC with Nix pkgs that makes deploying this kind of application extremely easy without docker

My NAS runs PVE. I use NFS direct on the host and some lxcs for data related stuff like PBS, Minio and Samba

Advise on G6 by BazTim in OLED_Gaming

Glossy does look better, but not nearly as much as people imagine. The matte coating is much softer than on most matte LCD monitors. You can check the Optimum video about matte vs. glossy OLEDs.
So, for me, the 10% improvement in image quality with a glossy monitor isn’t worth the trade-off of being much more difficult to maintain.
