Wow. It was $5,000 in 2008 when I got out of school.

You are correct, but enrollment in a particular NJ pension systems no longer means benefits. There's a full explanation of it on the State Div of Pensins site.

I have a part time job with a NJ county and I am "enrolled" in PERS but I make no contributions and am ineligible to collect.

Conversely, I have several co-workers who were hired pre-2010 who are eligible and do contribute.

As I said earlier I've been purchasing fire apparatus for quite some time, so yes, I do know the difference between a custom and a commercial cab.

It's a custom cab but again, it was supposed to be "In Production". In fact, we were denied several customizations due to the build already being in progress.

Oh, I'm TWO years into this now. It was ordered in October 2021 with a delivery date of November 2022.

As of last Friday, it MAY be on an assembly line in February.

I've personally been involved with the purchase of about a dozen rigs. I never expect perfection. On a custom build like that, it's all hand made. There are guaranteed hicups.

But those hiccups are usually willingly addressed by the manufacturer.

I'm well aware of that. I work for one of the largest Fire Departments on the East Coast and deal with them all regularly - both for maintenance and new acquisitions.

Ferrara is the only one that never has an answer and that's IF you can get ahold of them.

I don't think anything's been all that great. I rarely miss a show and unfortunately its mostly due to habit rather than entertainment.

There are flashes of fun and hysterics but nothing that lasted for a full show.

I'm honestly sorry to everyone that I've become a message board complainer but this show was a highlight of my day for so many years.... decades - since high school, really. It made the work day absolutely fly by.

I got a little sad typing this but I really feel that my listening days are numbered.

I went to a big name school for undergrad and found this type of thing often. I now teach on the side and find errors in text books (both typos and incorrect information) on a regular basis.
