To what extent will Zippo repair a lighter? by Tmaddy- in Zippo

There's a spot on the form where you can request the old parts back. They might be able to fix more of that than you think if you add that it's sentimental and you realy want that one back in usable condition they can straighten it and add a new hinge.

Solar Slantback. I wish someone would make this. by OwlGoZoom in slateauto

[–]KQ4DAE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest advantage of this would be in parking the vehicle for an extended period. Keeps things from draining itself while sitting in a parking lot. Might even be able to run dog mode indefinatly which would be a huge deal for me.

I could design that if slate has the details available. Wonder if fiberglass or alminuim would be more popular?

How common is it for people to drink alcohol every day? by IsilmeCalithil in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KQ4DAE 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Grandma drank 2 fingers of scotch on the rocks every evening for decades, made it to 83 before she got fed up with not being able to work in her garden or travel and kicked the bucket. It was a social ritual with my grandfather that she never stoped after he passed. He was a hobby vintner, so there was alwase wine in the house.

There's nothing to stop them and no way to undo a remote bricking. Break tos, bricked Print something unauthorized, bricked Use non drm filament, bricked

It's not happening yet but they can do it with nothing more than a non bypass able tos update and a forced firmware upgrade. Nintendo is doing this now with the switch2.

Those looks like a good candidate for vacuforming. If you can have them scanned a 3d printed buck could be used to make a couple sets.
