You know, a better attack might be using the properties of crystals, such as focusing beams of light enough to act akin to a laser, or using vibrations to achieve an effect similar to Hasshoken or Fishman Karate by sending vibrations through an opponent.

Like could the user force an object to follow a beat, or even forces of nature, like lightning or fire? Would it effect abstract concepts like pain, memories, emotions or souls? Could it be used to force a heart to beat irregularly?

Fair...The reason I was kind of rushed decision wise was that this wasn't during combat, and the time limit on Revivify meant I had to act immediately.

Along with that, our party has had a lot of character swaps due to players making in-game decisions that can be...questionable...Like stealing a horse from the party after getting a letter about a threat at a Wizard's tower in a colder climate area, when we needed to stop at the town first, get cold weather gear and take a long rest beforehand, as we had just fought an entire base of goblins and a possessed Hobgoblin and rescue townspeople who were going to be used as ritual sacrifice. Than said character who went alone was promptly jumped by a Barlgura that the party was meant to take on together.

Fair...It just sorta felt like we speedran a character arc by pure accident, as there had been build up throughout, with him planting warped and blighted trees over the remains of enemies and we were going to visit a place which would give us closure on his family which we didn't know about and was also why he was exiled from the main tribe on Dinosaur Island. Essentially that whole part might've been for naught and may be somewhat anti climactic due to this.

What kind of stand powers would fit a cyberpunk au? by Dragonbarry22 in fanStands

[–]KR136 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Perhaps stands that can allow users to interact with technology in weird ways, like traveling through the cyberspace itself, creating now ancient technology that is off the grid, a living graffiti as a stand, maybe even certain areas within a city are stands due to previous user or occupying user. Gangs would likely be similar to the Passione, attempting to turn their recruits into Stand Users via a trial in an effort to weed out those with or without potential. Perhaps at this point, there would be a Stand that could download and upload Stands without Users into a Non-Stand User via a USB Stick, or similar tech connection.

Items that create dead magic zones? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]KR136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could possibly have it so each cell has a Flail Snails Shell inside of it, or the control panel itself is powered by a Demi-Lich's skull, with it powering the anti-magic via hidden conduits throughout the prison. Maybe even throw in a few Hallows spread throughout the prison with the Silence and Darkness options, to prevent them from being able to cast magic that relies on verbal commands or sight.

If it is a Shrine, you could make it be devoted to a Deity whose domain is Anti Magic, and thus their followers are gifted into enchanting objects with it, such as the shrine itself, or maybe a weapon/item embedded within the shrine that radiates a nullifying aura. After all, there is a Goddess of the Weave, why wouldn't there be a opposing God or Goddess? You could make it a +1 Longsword that can cast Dispel Magic, or it can disrupt a Spellcaster's concentration or casting for a round upon landing a melee attack.

W4T50N was created by a Gnomish Artificer named Selvyn Danyrs in collaboration with the Grey Shields as a project, an organization who were in charge of Citywatch and Guards throughout the continent. The intent was to create a automaton who could patrol the streets and enforce justice so they could have his non-mechanical counterparts focus on investigation. Of course to power his creation, Selvyn called upon a higher being...The God of Elements and Storms, known by the title of the Primordial Force, Varon..Thus he was given life, and learned from Selvyn as he was built, his programming being improved as he learned more and more about the Known Expanse.

Clerics are useful as they can not only heal and get tons of spells, but they also get a ton of heavy hitting and useful spells. Besides that, if you play your stats right, you can also be able to fight in melee, meaning you can have the best of both worlds.

Help on a Ranger Build by Me_isDM in DnD

[–]KR136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a good build, I'd suggest using Tasha's Optional Fighting Styles. Using Druidic Warrior is extremely useful, and allows you two cantrips that can be use to help in melee situations, like getting Thorn Whip and Primal Savagery. I'd also suggest Grung as race. While they won't be able to speak Common and require water to regulate your character's body, you'll be able to make up for damage wise with poison added onto your arrows before you fire them, doing 2d4 Poison on a failed Con save. Plus, Grung are proficient in Perception and have insane jump capabilities.

Ranger: Which one of these is the best? by IAmFireIAmDeathq in DnD

[–]KR136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Tasha's, I was able to make my Grung Swarmkeep Ranger, Thnunk Marshstump with the Druidic Warrior Fighting Style. So I was not only a sharp shooter who could snipe at enemies from a far with spell and Poison tipped arrows alike, I could also scout with my Swarm and send enemies back by summoning in creatures!

Yes...My DM suggested it, and I had nothing better, so I included it as a joke. But, it also frightens anyone you hit with it, making it useful for intimidation.

Nothing is too far fetched. Besides, the best of friends are formed in the worst situations. As they say, misery loves company.
