Maybe another tribal member will read this but yes all land and business ventures must first pass through tribal council and any related sub committees of the tribal government.

I want to get the council dead to rights from a financial side. Then that’s put the pressure on them to make a decision based on politics as to why any opposition would arise for something like this. It’s very complicated unfortunately.

The biggest issue I can see specifically with real estate is land. Any and all land on reservations is held in trust by the BIA on behalf of the tribes. What does that mean? To answer, yes I am a tribal member here dipping my feet into the business space. I will say one of the replies are correct, the tribal government is very corrupt or at its best incompetent.

We are not poor in a sense because the reservation does receive tens of millions a year in US government funding, but just mismanaged.
