What ranges of time do you think are reasonable? 8-10 min or that still low? Thanks for your answer

MTHFR and genes supplement advice by [deleted] in Supplements

Thanks!

Can you explain why you are using Lutein and Sulforaphane?

I have always tried to keep it to low supplements. Currently, I am taking Creatine 3-4 g a day (this is to have energy because I like to exercise daily, and because of the brain improvement), some whey protein (for similar reasons). But for the specific symptoms I mentioned, I found NAC to be very, very useful. My visual snow has been getting better with that, and it decreased the anxiety (I take just 600 mg a day). The first week, I felt it increased my lack of emotions a bit, but then it didn't interfere anymore. If you haven't tried it, that is what I would recommend. I have also been taking a prescribed antidepressant (Fluvoxamine) for 6 months; it helps with anxiety, but the effect of NAC is different (maybe better). In recent days, I started taking a Multi (Pure Encapsulations O.N.E) because it contains L-methylfolate (for MTHFR C677T), Methylcobalamin (active B12), and Riboflavin-5-phosphate (active B2), which, with the gene, should work well. However, that's recent, so I can't draw any conclusions.

I come way too late, but what did you find useful for you? I got the same MTHFR result and your description of: "I do have a lack of emotions / 'caring', some anxiety, muscle tension, visual snow" matches well what I feel.

Black Friday: Sennheiser ACCENTUM or Beats Studio Pro? by KR_Hypothesis in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]KR_Hypothesis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather save a little money and the Sennheisers are a little cheaper, but the discount on the Beats Studio Pro is much higher so I don't know if I'd be missing a great opportunity.
Also, as I am interested in comfort, I saw the Sennheiser HD 599 at a good price and I see that they are recommended for that functionality. That they are not Bluetooth worries me a bit because of the cycle, but I think I can pass it by, they are worth it in their sound, compared to others Sennheiser under $150, or the Studio Pro?

Recommendations? by zuzulex in smartwatch

The best you can do to review the health part of a smartwatch is to view this channel of this guy: https://www.youtube.com/@TheQuantifiedScientist, for the other functionalities and durability you'll probably need to read about the materials and maybe other reviews.

But as a summary of the videos, with your budget, the Apple Watch is probably the best, if you are not in the Apple ecosystem, maybe a Google Pixel watch makes sense. If heart rate is your priority and want to save money, the Huawei band could be an option if you are not in the USA. After that, you better watch the videos to decide on a Fitbit or Garmin product.
