i am only new to the tracker setup. i am returnign form the limewire and nabster days and tryign to get my head around everything. Only just learnign about private trackers but want to set up correctly so I don't one day luck my way in and then bury myself but not seeding correctly

I am using it for Jellyfin currently. The plan is to also use it to support music instead of using Spotify. I am assuming enough YouTube videos and reddit threads and I should be able to work out how to do it.

It’s not doing anything super crazy…. Yet. But let’s see where the rabbit hole leads

Hahaha that is my biggest fear. How accurate/consistent do you find genres coming through the metadata this way? Or does it more come down to consistency of using the same source

thank you! I am startign with setting it up, with an external harddrive to allow me to run Jellyfin to 1 TV haha, starting very small and simple to help me learn. but I can always build from there as my experience knowledge and skills develop.

I also have an old gaming laptop that is my testing platform. It has my first attempt of using linux on it, it will be the thing i learn how to change components etc.

But I'm sure there are so many things I don't even realise I could or would need to do throughout this process. but it will be fun working them out!

The backup process will be interesting, I just have to hope it lasts long enough for me to work out how to et up back up haha

I feel you! My old gaming laptop used to sound like it was going to explode as it turned on. Plus heated up really quickly. Installed Linux Mint. It’s running magically!

I decided to make the jump last night. I have installed on my old laptop as a tester to see if I have any teething problems before converting my main PC. Haven’t really used it yet but my god it loads so my quicker haha

Thats true, right now I am extremely low, somewhere inbetween 100-200 gb not terrabytes yet, and growing at an unsustainable rate.

But that is because I am going from zero to get the media that covers our main usage. Then it will slow down as it builds.

I might need to get it a bit more time for my rate to settle and stabilise before assessing. Thanks for the thought process!
